Sixteen-time Grammy Award-winner and new mom Beyonce Knowles-Carter, along with her mother Tina Knowles, are just two of 27 designers who have created unique apparel in support of President Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential re-election as part of the Runway to Win initiative.
The initiative, which is one of the top Obama fundraisers in the country, was crated by Anna Wintour who is an editor at Vogue. The idea was to bring 27 designers together and let them create their own items for “sale” such as T-shirts, bags, hats, and more, all with images and logos from Obama with all profits going to the re-election campaign for the current President of the United States.
On behalf of Runway to Win, bags were created from designers like Tory Burch, Vera Wang, Derek Lam, Marcus Wainwright and more. A variety of t-shirts were designed Jason Wu, Rachel Roy, Marc Jacobs, Russell Simmons, Sean John, and of course, Beyonce and Tina Knowles. All of the items for sale are priced between $40 and $95.
