(AllHipHop News) The Hip-Hop loving warden of Rikers Island has been charged with assault and harassment, over an affair with a female correctional officer.

Emmanuel Bailey was the warden of Rikers Island, before he retired last Thursday (February 23).

He retired under pressure from the Correction Department, after it was revealed that he was having an affair with a female correctional officer.

Bailey, who is 55-years-old, allegedly met the woman for sexual encounters in Brooklyn over the past year.

According to the New York Post, Emmanuel Bailey is a married man.

When his wife, who is also a correctional officer, learned of the trysts, she began sending the mistress on dangerous assignments.

Emmanuel Bailey is a fan of hip-hop music and several incidents took place while he was the warden at Rikers Island.

Emmanuel Bailey allowed rapper Papoose to perform at Rikers in 2006, sparking months of violence at the jail, due to Pap’s long-standing feud with a rival rapper/bloods gangleader named Dough Boy.

Papoose is also married to rapper Remy Ma, who is serving an eight year prison sentence at Rikers Island for shooting her friend over a stolen purse in 2007.

Rapper Foxy Brown allegedly received preferential treatment from Rikers correctional officers, when she served almost a year in the prison for violating her probation in 2007.
