Hip-Hop Rumors: Did MMG's Stalley Throw Shade At Producer Hit Boy?

MMG rapper Stalley is upset with the lack of attention his music has been garnering and has decided to express his feelings on Twitter In the process, Stalley seemed to take a few shots at “N*ggas In Paris” producer, Hit Boy, who happened to release his own single this week entitled, “Jay-Z Interview”.

Check out what Stalley tweeted below:

“I’m tried of holding myself back, I dropped the Best video that came out this week and y’all worried about Mercy or a Jay-Z interview,” he tweeted June 8th.

“I’m disinterested in Mass Media.”

“People say i’m mad, but i’m not this fake person who is always happy and Humble. I’m a Savage.”

“I put everything in my music and i’m really sick of being overlooked.”

“I put out the best two mixtapes in the last two years. No Hype around them, just good music.”

“I’m not hating on any one artist or anyones music. I’m just saying my music is up to par or better than then music people go crazy over.”

Stalley’s tweets caught the attention of producer Chase N. Cashe who jumped in to defend Hit Boy. Check out what he tweeted below:

“@Stalley You can be humble but hating at the same time cancels that out period. You didn’t have to mention Hit-Boy video,” he responded.

“@Stalley It was a bunch of n*ggas drop videos this year my dawg. You around big names as well just do you and focus up. It’s simple.”

“Hit-Boy is the wrong n*gga for people to hate on cuz all that n*gga do is show love and keep positive energy around. Hate on me if anything.”

“@Stalley I read them all my nigga. I have mutual friends on your team too. But n*ggas not commenting on what ya’ll do cuz we not progressing” (Chase N Cashe’s Twitter)

Stalley was not trying to back down from his statements, but did respond to Chase N Cashe to let him know it was nothing personal towards Hit Boy. Peep what he said below:

“Respect the groundwork,” he added.

“Jealousy is a weat trait to have, but passion is an honorable Trait.”

“I love what I do and i’m very passionate about my work and art I put out.”

“Everyone says stay humble but what is humble?”

“@ChaseNCashe Dog relax, Hitboy is my guy read the rest of my tweets.” (Stalley’s Twitter)

Hit-Boy hopped on Twitter and decided to be the adult in the situation and tweeted, “Stalley just text’d me. It’s luv.” “Chase always stands up for me when someone speaks but i didn’t even take the tweet the way everyone else did.” (Hit-Boy’s Twitter)

Let’s hope the issue was resolved. Do you think Stalley has a point?

At the end of the day…LET THE MUSIC SPEAK FOR ITSELF…Stalley shit is everywhere. All he has to do it keep making the hits and rest will work itself out. Damn homeboy you with a powerhouse like MMG…very commercial…you will be exposed in the worse way…hopefully the fans will bite that hook. Don’t become to emotional on social media…be emotional on the mic…make that music that touch the soul…you’re on the right track.

I met Stalley before he really is a very humble dude. I can understand his frustration is like the music business is just built around hype now. It’s all glass and mirrors. But like Black said keep grinding you will get there.

  • ccwaterbound32

sydney can’t you come up with an original topic or “rumor” besides copying and pasting these particular articles? guess not… as for stalley from what i heard not my thing can’t really say id jump up and go buy anything he does and the reason being is the material ive heard just doesn’t do anything for me.. to each their own oh and for the record sydney nice try.

    • Nemesis_Enforcer

Nah she good on this one. Good, HIP HOP related info.

  • Cereal Killa

Stalley’s dope, but it doesn’t matter, all you can do is water the seed you can’t make it grow.

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

def good 1 😉 but sometimes u do gotta wake folks up … you think kanye would be where he would be today had he been humble his entire career ????????? me personally HELL NAH !!! 😉

  • TruthHurtsDontIt

Dude has lyrical talent but he just don’t possess replay value and takes the life out of MMG tracks i’ve heard him on.

Image is 99% of all music genres these days,, and when you look like your fresh from Guantanamo, it turns a lot of the public off despite talent.  Ask Freeway…

    • especially when he sounds like a white boy.. lol..

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

u sure your not confusing him for wale lol jk lol 😉

That was a bitch move by stalley… Y bring anybody up in the first place? Like chase said, the initial hate canceled out any positive energy he was trying 2 kick after the fact!

  • Dat Savage Journey mixtape is hot to death though.  He got skillz, just need to be more patient and continue to hit dat undaground hard.

  • mrgibson

STalley has been around but mostly on the underground tip, he’s gottabe patient.  Dudes just need to quit getting on Twitter/Facebook and acting like school girls.  That shit is not a good look.

  • Razvan Fenesan

    nigga shave.

  • Nemesis_Enforcer

Stalley can rap but unfortunately, thats not what it’s about these days.  Its about buzz.  Think about it.  2chainz is hotter than Luda.  We all know who has the better skills but 2Chainz has more buzz. Future has like 3 songs on the radio.

rappers now do mixtapes, pay for radio, and then do shows. They may even do a album here and there.  The game straight up flipped on it’s side.  Stalley is a through-back artist but the industry dont work the same way anymore.  If it was 2003, Stalley would be more relevant.

  • i hope he ant serious… lol.. i mean i never listened to him till right now and that party heart is… welll.. ima just say NOT feeling it.. party heart???? smh and he said he a savage??? im missin sumpin… fo sho

  • CanYouAllHearMe

this stalley guy thinks very highly of himself dude is average at best

  • ItGoesDownINtheDM

nah not really but stalley prob feelin the pressure everyone is buzzing heavy on the team except him … before he had pill to hide behind now that pill is gone the light is on him …. but im hoping ross already knew theyd were going against  the grain with stalley its gonna take a lil more push and alot more yelling from stalley to probably get his just due

  • breed500

If all you had to do is drop good music the rap game would look very different now..it’s not the music…it’s the damn politics of it all..you can have a succesful career if you play the politics well..good music isn’t even required nowadays…my point speaks for itself..even the greats are coasting on the regular..WTT was mediocre music at best but got the best hype i’ve seen in a long time..and since everybody wants to be Jay or Ye nowadays..it sells, not because it’s good music..it’s just the latest fad you need to hop on..Stalley should keep that in mind..he’s not going to do major numbers..that’s a fact..but he will have a loyal fanbase to keep him eating if he sticks to his guns..

  • ulostatlife

I didn’t know Stalley had that bitch gene in his DNA.Stop whining and get on your grind. We have seen hundreds of rappers whose ego made them believe they were hotter than they really were only to see reality smack them in the face.Kendrick Lamar,JCole,Kid Cudi and even Wale(who is just as wack as Stalley) have been on their grizzly to get and maintain a buzz. Drop some quality music and believe me the people will notice politics or no politics…but sh*tting on a producer whose name is buzzing is sour grapes and a terrible look…

    • dopebroddi

      HE’S LIGHTSKIN THEY ALL DO

Is stalley serious? In what way is his video anywhere close to The Jay-Z interview video. Hit-boy video is almost as good as through the wire. And the final line, and fade out with poetry in everything, classic. I couldent even get through the half hearted second line of the Ross feature. Also, Best two mixtapes? Does anybody know the name of one of them? Not to be a hater, but Stalley, check yourself. What you need to do is ask yourself how you can get on Wale level, and with meek millz over there too, yo, Stalley dident even get the whole maybach shoutout to start his song. And the beats, the song itself, the lyrics, the voice even yo. Stalley, sorry to say but its never gonna be you dog.

  • Ross Dewees

The one good thing about this is it makes me wanna learn more about Stalley, so In that way it works as a publicity stunt.

  • He’s on one of the hottest teams right now if his spark does not flame up. .  .  well. . . . don’t quit your day job .. . . Besides that “Party Heart” hook sounds super lame,

    • Keep It Real or STFU (Banned)

that whole song is ass….. shit makes me want to throw a fleece blanket over my body and lay my head on a 1000 thread count pillow and go nite nite…. call his music “Nyquil Muzik”….lol

  • StinkPinkGators313

Im surprised dude even signed to MMG in the first place, I thought his music had more substance to it than that..I always thought he was a lyrical Hipster so that move never added up in the first place…But what do you expect when your whole swag is a complete 360 from what the president is preaching? Look at the route Wale’s career has gone since signing to MMG..never was a big fan, but the quality dropped way off…why do you think Meek Mill is blowing up and he’s the worst lyrically out of the three of you? Because you chose the wrong lane for some more exposure, when you could have been more more successful..or at least happy..He’s just a little salty, lol

    • Kevin Farley

meek is a beast with the flow and lyrics.granted i havent been impressed with his newer commercial songs but check the first couple flamerz tapes

  • Bruh your on a album cover with Omarion. Kill the noise.

  • TEEM DEEP

    TEEMDEEP

  • Stalley is right but he does sound bitter. Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Truck Music) and Savage Journey to the American Dream, Shits on majority of the mixtapes & albums that came out. Wale’s quality went down. Each verse, each album, each feature. I know it happens to alot of rappers but he’s include. Meek Mill is wack forreal. Anyone can get on a track, start screaming and talk about what goes on the neighborhood (hoes, clothes, weed, liquor) Shit is wack. Stalley shouldnt have signed with MMG. He wanted the exposure but HipHop heads were his fans and MMG was his red flag. He did it to himself.

  • black_messiah9000

But the nigga shit is poo. (Stalley) I’m not even a Hit-Boy fan but Stalley shit is whack. Plus he on a track with Rick Ross. smh

  • Stalley is wht i dont think Philly is about.. plus ross got tht half ass verse on there tht no one is checkin for.. He’s goin to end up bein Pill #2.. an wht does tht video have tht i havent seen anywhere… typical block.. 26’s ..  ross smokin weed.. nothing groundbreaking bout this bro at all.. keep up the hard work tho an it will pay off.. But one thing is tht the game dont need more underground, dboy music out the box..

  • Southcidal

Stalley has the platform but his lyrics just aren’t that interesting. Plain and simple. I’ve tried to give this nigga a chance about three times already and have been disappointed. I hate when niggas cry about not getting attention as if its some type of conspiracy to ignore their shiit. Nigga you’ve got one of the hottest rappers (hottest according to MTV) co-signing you, you get to pick from the top producers and your shit is instantly put on TV as soon as the video shoot is over and you’re complaining? Go back to the lab and come with shiit that peaks the public’s interest more. Meek Mills is doing it.

  • BOO HOO. Cry me a river. SMH

  • Hell yea he has a point.. His music is knowledge them other nxggaz just speak on how to spend your money on a new chain or new maseratti but stalleys really spreads loves with his words he speaks on unity, prosperity,& realistic subjucts rather than money,fame,&power..
