EXCLUSIVE: Iggy Azalea Sets the Record Straight On Her Grand Hustle Deal And Split From Interscope

EXCLUSIVE: IGGY AZALEA ON WHERE SHE STANDS WITH INTERSCOPE AND GRAND HUSTLE

(AllHipHop News) Iggy Azalea has had quite a year and is showing no signs of slowing down. From her YouTube hits “P*ssy” and “My World” attracting a lot of attention in late 2011, to the release of her Ignorant Art EP which helped the Australian femcee land a spot on XXL’s Freshman Class cover in March, to her affiliation and signing with T.I. and Grand Hustle, the 22-year-old beauty just keeps it moving.

Despite all of the accolades, Iggy still has detractors to prove wrong, and she’s more than up for the challenge. With her second release, Glory EP, set to drop before the end of July, she’s still hard at work on her upcoming debut album, The New Classic.

The New Classic was set to be Iggy’s major label debut with Interscope Records, who she signed to back in late January in a joint venture deal with T.I.’s Grand Hustle. In the months since her signing, rumors and reports suggested that she had been dropped from the label and that when T.I. had classified her as a “free-agent,” that she had severed ties with the Grammy Award-winning rapper.

Not the case according to Iggy who told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview that while she is no longer with Interscope, all is well with her and Tip and she is still 150 percent a part of his Grand Hustle label and Hustle Gang movement. At the end of the day, according to her, “business is just business.”

As she waits to settle an offer to distribute her debut album, Iggy has continued to work both The New Classic and Glory EP, which will be arriving first to hold fans over until Classic is released later this year.
