G.O.O.D. Music Delays Compilation Until September; Cyhi the Prynce Tweets About Complex Cover Snub

“CRUEL SUMMER” PUSHED BACK; CYHI TWEETS ON BEING LEFT OFF G.O.O.D. MUSIC’S COMPLEX COVER

(AllHipHop News) Today G.O.O.D. Music announced by press release that their compilation project would be releasing on September 4, instead of the previously set date of August 7.

While no details were disclosed about why the project was delayed, in lieu of the new date, Kanye West and team released the West-produced track, “New God Flow.”

The song features both Pusha T and Kanye rapping on track, and follows up “Mercy,” the number one song in Urban radio for the fourth consecutive week, selling over 1.2 million copies thus far.

Both “Mercy,” and “New God Flow” are featured on the G.O.O.D. Music / Def Jam Recordings compilation, and “Mercy” marks Kanye’s ninth #1 single at the Urban format adding to the recent “Otis” and “Paris” from the Watch The Throne project.

In addition to the press release, the G.O.O.D. Music family also blessed the cover of Complex Magazine – less Cyhi da Prynce – who later retweeted a fan’s question about why he didn’t make the cover to the magazine.

“G.O.O.D. Music: New Religion (Cover Story) http://www.complex.com/music/2012/07/good-music-cover-story … @ComplexMag I wonder why @CyHiThePrynce is not on the cover? #CruelSummer,” Cyhi the Prynce re-Tweeted.

“I just got a phone call from Andre 3000 watch this for all you hating ass ni**as!!!” Cyhi said. Moments later Cyhi commented via Twitter stating, “Remember this is not a sprint it’s a marathon.”

In the past few days, Cyhi the Prince has been seen retweeting fan’s support for his most recent project, Ivy League, particularly the soul sample-heavy song, “Changed”, where he describes his passion for making music and all the struggles that come along with the business of music.
