(AllHipHop News) It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since Jermaine Dupri first established So So Def Recordings. Through a joint venture with Sony Music and Columbia Records, the hip hop mogul’s vision first began with female R&B group Xscape. Dupri’s label would later become responsible for classic material from top artists including Da Brat, Jagged Edge, Anthony Hamilton, Dem Franchise Boyz, Dondria, 3LW, Bone Crusher, Bow Wow’s triple platinum debut LP and many more.

To say the least, Dupri’s contributions to the music industry via his unique production skills, songwriting, and ability to hone artists has in turn birthed some of the best records within hip hop and R&B.

To commemorate two decades in the industry, JD recently released a song aptly titled, “Celebration,” which boasts features from current So So Def artists as well as notable alums. The song was recorded over Game’s latest single, “Jesus Piece.”

More importantly though, the famed music producer has announced that he will be hosting a So So Def anniversary concert at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on February 23rd. Dupri recently posted the official flyer for the upcoming concert event as well as photo of him discussing plans for the show alongside the twins from Jagged Edge, Brandon and Brian Casey. Tickets will be available on Saturday.

Hopefully the forthcoming all-star showcase will include memorable songs like “My Boo” from The Ghost Town DJs, J-Kwon’s party anthem “Tipsy,” Rocko’s biggest hit “Umma Do Me”, and perhaps Da Brat will treat the crowd to “Funkdafied.”
