(AllHipHop News) Former Odd Future member Casey Veggies will be the flagship rap artist on music executive Sylvia Rhone’s new Vested in Culture (VIC) music label. Veggies will join Latin pop star Kat Dahlia, R&B singer-songwriter Deon Young, and fellow Los Angeles emcee Cashius Green on VIC.

This is Veggies second big business deal over the last year. In July of 2012, it was announced that the 19-year-old signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Management. He will now be under the tutelage of another veteran music industry insider in Rhone.

Rhone has a 25-year record of working in the music business. She has served as the Chairman/CEO of the Elektra Entertainment Group and most recently as the President of Universal Motown Records. Throughout her career she has helped mold the careers of Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Fabolous, Melonia Fiona, Stevie Wonder, and a host of other stars.

Veggies will also have the backing of another music heavyweight. Rhone’s VIC is a part of a joint venture with Epic Records meaning she will work directly under Epic’s CEO and Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid.

“It gives me great pleasure to work alongside the most successful female record executive of all time,” remarked Reid in a press statement. “She has taste, style, vision and she has my complete support.”

Veggies just released his latest mixtape, Life Changes, on January 22. He is currently working on his untitled debut album that is expected to drop in 2013. The young emcee has also expanded his portfolio beyond just recording music. He teamed with Joshton Peas and Anwar Carrots to create the clothing and management company Peas & Carrots International (PNCINTL).
