Jay-Z Records "Picasso Baby" Video In 6 Hours With A Host Of Artsy Fans

6 HOURS STRAIGHT: JAY-Z RECORDS “PICASSO BABY” VIDEO

(AllHipHop News) Jay-Z’a Magna Carta Holy Grail just dropped, but the rapper continued the momentum by recording a video for “Picasso Baby,” a process that had him rapping the song for about 6 hours straight.

The event happened at Pace Gallery in New York in the early afternoon, about 12 pm and wrapped about 6:45pm Wednesday evening.

During the event, fans, graphic artists and some celebrities were ushered in and out to record several takes of the video throughout the day.

Attendees included Tyson Beckford, Wale, Rap Radar’s Elliot Wilson, Rosie Perez, Datwon Thomas of VIBE, Michael K. Williams Of “The Wire” fame, and AllHipHop’s Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur and a very eclectic mixture of artists, fans and other assorted people.

The video was directed by Mark Romanek, who also constructed Jay’s “99 Problems.”
