Afeni Shakur Suing For Over $1 Million In Unpaid 2Pac Royalities

2Pac’s Mom Claims Owner Of The Rapper’s Music Owes His Estate $1.1 Million

(AllHipHop News) Tupac Shakur is one of the highest paid deceased celebrities in the world. Seventeen years after Pac’s death, his brand still brings in millions of dollars. Now his mother, Afeni Shakur, is claiming that some of those millions are owed to her according to TMZ.

As the co-administer of the Tupac estate, Afeni is suing Entertainment One for $1.1 million in unpaid royalties from the 2007 2Pac album Beginnings: The Lost Tapes. The posthumous LP features songs recorded by the Hip Hop icon in the very early stages of his career.

Entertainment One purchased the rights to Pac’s music in July. The multi-media company also lists songs by Joe Budden, DJ Khaled, and Jim Jones in their catalog.

The lawsuit is also asking for E One to relinquish all of Tupac’s master recordings and unreleased music.
