Questlove calls working on Soul Train: The Music, Dance, and Style of a Generation a “dream come true.” He had the opportunity to view rare pictures from the show and watched the entire series in preparation of penning the book. More than 350 photos will be featured alongside the text.

Soul Train

Soul Train was created by Don Cornelius in 1971 and ran until 2006. Some of the biggest names in music appeared on the show during its 35 years on the air. One of those legendary performers, Gladys Knight, provides the foreword to Soul Train: The Music, Dance, and Style of a Generation. Television personality Nick Cannon contributed the book’s preface.
