Cash Money Records Could Challenge Jay Z In Sports Management In 2014

CASH MONEY RECORDS WILL REPORTEDLY BEGIN ITS SPORTS AGENCY IN 2014

(AllHipHop News) Master P was Ricky Williams’ sports agent in 1999 and paved the way for what may soon become the latest trend in the business of Hip Hop. Reports allege that Cash Money Records plan to begin their own sports management company named Visionaire Sports Group in 2014.

After registering the trademark for Visionaire Sports Group for “sports agency services” on October 25th, the legendary rap label also is rumored to have invested in Mississippi-based sports agency Pay 2 Win Sports, Inc. While not formally announced, this move would be similar to Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports partnering with reputable sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in April.

No word on if any members of Cash Money Records, Inc has begun sports agent certification, however that may not be needed for Visionaire Sports Group to begin. Due to fact that Jay Z was and still is not certified to be an agent by the NFL’s Players Association he signed football agent Kimberly Miale to Roc Nation Sports as an associate weeks before Roc  Nation Sports signed New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith.

While Cash Money Records Inc has trademarked their sports agency’s name, past attempts by rappers to begin sports agencies have taken time to start. Back in April of 2012, a year before Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports signed its first athlete, Rick Ross announced a joint venture on an unnamed sports management company:
