(AllHipHop News) Beyoncé’s reign atop the Billboard 200 continues for a third week in a row. Her self-titled album sold another 310,000 copies in week 3 bringing its total 1.3 million. BEYONCÉ is the first album since Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream in 2009 to push over 300,000 units in its first three weeks.
The “visual album” sold 617,000 copies in its opening sales week, but because BEYONCÉ was released on a Friday it actually managed to go gold in just three days. The next week the project sold another 374,000 units.
Besides its commercial success, BEYONCÉ was also a hit with music critics as well. The project was named the best album of 2013 by Billboard and the L.A. Times.
