Battle Rapper Daylyt Says All Macklemore Raps About Is "Gay S**t"

DAYLYT: MACKLEMORE RAPPING ABOUT IT’S OKAY TO BE GAY WON BEST HIP HOP ALBUM. IT’S UGLY.

(AllHipHop News) The discussion about Macklemore’s controversial Grammy win for Best Rap Album continues. The latest artist to provide his opinion on the matter is battle rapper Daylyt. According to the Watts, California native Macklemore’s success is mostly the result of appealing to the gay community.

“Gay st is taking over the world, and all [Macklemore] rap about is gay st,” Daylyt tells Vlad TV. “He’s with the gays, and we know this.”

Day goes on to talk about how he felt Young Money’s Lil Wayne attempted to “sneak into the gay world” while still trying to “stay hood.” But it’s Macklemore who benefited the most from a gay fan base in his view.

“Macklemore does stuff for gay people, and when they put them votes in, a billion of them rainbow motherf**kers was tallying up,” he adds. “A n***a rapping about it’s okay to be gay won the best Hip Hop album. It’s ugly.”

While Daylyt has issues with Macklemore winning the Best Rap Album trophy on Grammy night over Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, he also calls the Seattle rapper “dope.”

Macklemore has gotten praise from other rappers recently as well. Former tourmate Talib Kweli recently acknowledged the track “White Privilege” as one of his favorites from Macklemore, and Pusha T has said he respects Mack’s grind even though he believed Kendrick Lamar had the best album in the category.
