(AllHipHop News) Lord Jamar’s head might explode when he hears this news. Elton John wants to add elements of Hip Hop to one of his albums. The 66-year-old music icon tells Rolling Stone that he hopes to work with some of rap’s top producers in the future.
“I’d love to. I just don’t know how to do it,” said John when asked about incorporating Hip Hop into his music. “So, for me, I’d have to work with someone who knows about it, like a Pharrell or a Kanye, who I respect tremendously. I’d love to do that.”
The “Rocket Man” singer previously worked with Kanye on “All of the Lights” off Ye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Elton John was one of several uncredited artists to appear on the single along with John Legend, The-Dream, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, and Kid Cudi.
John also famously collaborated with Eminem for a performance of “Stan” at the 2001 Grammy Awards.
