50 Cent On Donald Sterling: "I Just Saw A Man Being Betrayed" (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent may be in the middle of promoting his upcoming album Animal Ambition, but that did not stop the Queens rapper from sharing his thoughts on the Donald Sterling saga.

While most of the media and the public focused on the racist comments Sterling was taped telling “girlfriend” V. Stiviano and his later rants against Magic Johnson on CNN, 50 seemed to be more concerned with the relationship between Sterling and Stiviano, and how the Los Angeles Clippers owner was “betrayed.”

50 told XXL:

I’m going to be honest with you. I couldn’t get past the concept of looking at an older man talking to a woman he was in love with and making probably the biggest compromise ever, saying maybe, ‘If you like them, be with them. Sleep with them. Just don’t embarrass me.’ So some of the things he said following that were inappropriate, but he’s saying to you that there’s other people around that I’m being embarrassed by that think and feel the way I feel. Now you’ve got one person that you’re pointing to, penalizing for that. He’s actually saying at that point, ‘Just don’t embarrass me.’ Meaning, there’s other people that feel exactly like me here to be embarrassed by. I just watched it, and I just saw a man being betrayed.

  • Live Well

He’s dead right. Sterling is being singled out for being stupid but he ain’t the only one thinking like that.

    • PorchBoySlim

Indeed..I just wanna know how they recorded that convo…that was a professional job…that wasn’t a phone app recording that shit lol it was way too clear.

      • Live Well

Man, I was thinking the same thing. Of course according to her, he knew he was being recorded.

      • Sean Taylor

Then you must have a shitt& phone. iPhone for the win…..

    • Smashit

True n people don’t see Sterling got 1-foot in the grave – his old ass hate everybody at this point because all that money not gonna stop death and that chick don’t even look white – Sterling just an angry old white man and this racist sh*t ain’t new at all

      • Live Well

        No doubt.

    • teflondon12583

So it’s ok to tolerate stupid people, because there are other stupid people out here?

      • Live Well

No, it’s not ok to tolerate him. It’s just a little naive to think he’s some rogue racist in a world of wealthy nice guys that believe in in equality.

      • teflondon12583

I don’t think ANYONE thinks dude is a “rogue” racist, in any world. I just don’t get everybody making excuses for him. He’s not “rogue” at all, he’s just in a high-profile position, and he got CAUGHT. That’s why he’s being singled out.

      • Live Well

I agree with you 100%. Ain’t no excuse for that punk. Whatever punishment he gets isn’t enough.

    • everyone is missing the point 50 made. he’s saying there are more dudes just like sterling!

      • Live Well

        Exactly.

      • Guest

Wasn’t this the same Nigga that recorded buck while buck was pouring out his heart to him? And this nigga wants to talk about betrayal.

      • IceBergSlim

It’s emodying where you came from you idiot..you do not have to be hood but be a voice for the less fortunate

      • PorchBoySlim

Voice of the less fortunate? The nigga is talking about the owner of a fuckin basketball team not life in the hood. lol

    • Sean Taylor

Nigga you ain’t from DC joe so stop using the word bama, you bama!!

  • Reblogged this on HUEY mix wit RILEY.

  • Brooklyn Stoop

man oh man……..i remember back in the 90s when a guy recorded the police beating the hell out of rodney king, the way nagas talking now about this stern ish like they woulda been mad at the guy who filmed the cops too.

  • Troll_E_G

He took up for Bush now sterling….smh

  • Charlotte

No one cares what 50 thinks anymore lmao

    • Sean Taylor

So why did you click on the topic? Just to tell us nobody cares about 50…seems you care.

      #stupidisasstupiddoes

  • TheAkademik

We shouldn’t give 50 Cent 50 cent….no SMS, Street King Immortal, Album, Tours, or watching his Series/Movies….rappers need to start speaking out for the black community or be ostracized…Fuck Jay-Z’s accommodating ass too

    • Troll_E_G

agreed, crazy how brothers in the spotlight take up for bigots but decline speaking on issues plaguing the same community they came from…this is effin despicable

      • Sean Taylor

He was asked a question and answered. You do understand what an interview is…right??

      • Troll_E_G

And his answer was despicable because he could have dropped some gems instead he comes accross like he feels sorry for him

      • brotha_man

not what fif is saying at all

    • Live Well

I don’t see it like that, bruh. I think he’s saying, because Sterling was betrayed by his mistress, he’sis being exposed for being a member of a larger culture of wealthy racists. Hence the statement, “don’t embarrass me”.

  • johnblacksad

can’t wait for Animal Ambition numbers to be out…

  • HATER PROOF

LOL….i see 50 knows his (true) fan base very, very well….lol

  • Sgt. H. Jennings

I agree with what he’s saying 100%. Not taking away from Sterling may or may not be a racist. But the fact of the matter is he was betrayed by someone he was in a relationship with in one way or another. There are a lot of things we’ve discussed with someone we’ve been very close to at one point or another. Had it been recorded and put on social media or some communicative outlet for all to hear, I’m sure that could have potentially created some unwanted problems in our lives also. He was betrayed. Not condoning all he said and how he feels about a certain race of people but he was clearly betrayed….

    • Troll_E_G

He was betrayed because she was tired of being a victim of his raciist rants….tstop making excuses

      • D. Rose in the paint

What excuse?? You just want everybody to get on board with your victimization…..50 is not being a victim, he’s being a man! You dont know anything bout that.

      • Troll_E_G

Sterling constantly criticized her for her race n hanging with blacks in a derogatory way n u act like she wrong ….foh trying to deflect

      • BigBoom

…if she was tired of being victimized, why didn’t she leave him? (money)

  • Eli Pinilla

You nggz let hate blur you vision…..All he sayin is he’s not the only one. There are people in sterling social circle who feel exactly like he does and were getting at sterling for not controlling his lady….

    • Troll_E_G

Stop making excuses for this herb

      • Eli Pinilla

        ^^^^ example A

      • brotha_man

from sterling to cuban all these cats feel the same way. sterling just got caught with his D*ck in his hand

  • Brooklyn Stoop

i would never have thought in 2014 black (“males”) people would be more offended that this racist POS “girlfriend” exposed him the the info that came from it.

i see why other races exploit black americans…………it would be an injustice for other races to NOT exploit these damn fools.

  • HatingWhitePeopleSince85

It’s funny how 50 can be EXTRA REAL about Game, his baby mama and anything else he’s safe with and wants to act Gangsta about but when it comes to race he glosses over Sterling’s comments and essentially justifies and makes excuses for it. Lol. Typical!!! These KNEE-GROWS wanna be for the hood when it’s convenient but when it comes to holding people accountable who looks like the people who SIGNS HIS CHECKS he’s as scared as Zimmerman at a Black Panther Meeting!! Thanks for reminding me why NOT to buy Animal Ambition #Ok Bye

    • jon dubock

Thats the reason why you wont buy Animal Ambition????….I wont buy it because I know it will suck…..hahaha…

    • Alan Glover

      Absolutely…BINGO!!!!

  • Ain’t No Future In Yo Frontin’

50 is wise because of his experiences. It doesn’t make him right about everything but it doesn’t make him a sellout neither. He sees things through different angles, y’all just from one.

    • Papi Peligro

Different angles. Us just from 1. Man sucker born every minute and yo birthdate was 5/23/14. Just because someone tells you an excuse for why they did what they did doesn’t mean its true. HE DIDN’T SAY SHE COULDN’T COME TO THE GAME WITH WHITE GUYS. She didn’t have to take the WHITE GUYS down from her page. So what is 50 talking about. He wasn’t jealous.

  • Brindle

50 speaking the facts, which requires an intentional lack of emotion. He’s right, dudes racist, dude was betrayed by a female, dude has a bunch of rich white friends at these black basketball games that look at black athletes as field nikkas… I don’t see the word “just” as meaning “that’s all” he saw if you read the whole thing…

  • TrUEdAT

I wonder if the managers, coaches, and players of the Clippers organization feel betrayed? How about all of the black people who he feels should not be allowed to come to ‘his’ games…do they feel betrayed? Magic Johnson? I wonder if this young (very dumb or very smart) BLACK/MEXICAN girl, at some point, did she feel betrayed? How about the city of L.A.?
This is a crazy situation from all viewpoints, but in no way is this man THE VICTIM. Whats done in darkness, comes to the light. One way or another. And anybody in his social circle, who feels the (racist, or at the very least discriminating) ways that he feels…SHOULD be embarrassed. SMH Im out……… *drops the mic*

  • La’shaun Saint Claire

    I agree Curtis, I agree.

  • Ghetto Suburbia

i guess you have to get approved for voicing your opinion about this Dyckwad!

  • Ghetto Suburbia

Modern day Slavery at it’s best!

  • Elayorx El

Well, after further scrutiny of the situation, some time having passed by now regarding this, I just can’t wrap my brain around the fact that DS, and many like him are “allowed” to continue to reap the benefits of being how, and who they are. It just goes to prove that it does not take a genius, or someone of a particular intellectual acumen to reach “billionaire boy club” status in life.(please refer to Mark Cuban’s recent comments for more proof) It seems that it takes more of nepotism, favoritism, the right shade of color, or lack thereof, and probably being straight up “Godless”, in order to be a part of, “Satan’s Sanctuary”. 50 may not have been off here, but the fact that he does not equally point out what the real overall, “miscarriage of humanity” is in all of this, is very telling about the complexion of our culture today. He(DS) obviously was set up, but please do not tell me that all of a sudden we want to start dealing with the big, “C” word, do we?(conspiracy) It never mattered before, and it shouldn’t now. These God complexed, “despots”, are only going to continue to erode the fabric of our societies even further, under the guise of creating opportunity, boosting economy, and making ridiculous statements like, “this country has come a long way with bigotry”?!?! Yeah, maybe in the world where your able to purchase your preferred environment, “friends”, lifestyle, etc, and that is fine. However, surely someone of that standing, or status has to be able to represent this world accordingly, but that is the catch-22, because if that ever happened, there could no longer be lost souls to exploit, take advantage of, and parasitically thrive off of, creating unbelievable fortunes in the process, and being played up to be something that they are clearly not at all. That is, loving, caring, empathetic, philanthropic, forthright, women, and men of honor, setting real examples for “everyday people” to “look up” to. Shouts to the real people of this planet with money, who are truly doing something to help heal this world, and it’s participants. See you later Sterling, along with the rest of the, “billionaire bigots”, that should hopefully be smoked out soon enough as well. One L….#IMPRICELESS

      • Elayorx El

Real spit fam! Plutocrats, exactly! Respect.

  • Kap Diva

50 Cent is a smart businessman. So many white people are going to support him now!

    • Hector G

he is also just plain right about this particular situation

      • D. Rose in the paint

He is VERY VERY right!! Its exactly how I felt….I was so pissed off at this broad setting this man up who was supposedly her friend….I could not get pass that, it still pisses me off! And I am a black man! I could care less about his racist comments….betrayal is something a real man cant fathom

      • Kap Diva

you’re not an American black man

      • Kap Diva

Nope, racism is totally wrong. Do you agree with that?

    • Naa bro, that’s not how business is done.
If he has something to offer which they can benefit from they’ll partner with him, if not then they’ll let him be.

No REAL BUSINESS MAN likes losing money, black or white and they’ll only partner with you if it benefits them and not just because of an audio visual.

  • D. Rose in the paint

EXACTLY WHAT I SEEN…and it pissed me off!! I didnt even care about the racist comments…..as a man I hate to see betrayal and all out backstabbing…..I would have smacked that broad for him.

    • Whatbruh

50 did the same thing with Buck. So would smack 50 for recording Buck?

      • justmathoughts

if i recall correctly, 50 did it to buck after buck was screaming eff gunit… its totally different

  • Hector G

50 cent,..smarter and better formulated opinions than anyone in Hip Hop.

    • D. Rose in the paint

There are others out there but the media likes to focus on the over reactors like Snoop, Lil Wayne who lashed out at Sterling like emotional women…..smh…but I hear you 50 is one of the more logical and strategic of the bunch

      • WeakSauce

Snop is a fukking idiot! Talk about being a racist, with that shit he was talking on that video! Plus he a Lakers fan!

  • D. Rose in the paint

Black people are so blinded by victimization and looking for racism that they miss the big picture…lmaoooo…..it never fails….and Im black so dont even try it

    • Brooklyn Stoop

so whats the big picture sir? enlighten us

      • disqus_R0wVfYtgDK

        Right please do

      • burgerking

The big picture is classism not racism

      • Brooklyn Stoop

so let me get this straight

jew’ish people, gheys, non blacks, women and animal lovers ALL have isms that they complain about. but what black people are experiencing isnt dude to race its due to class. NOW I GET IT……when oprah get her card pulled its because of her class status not her race. wow thinks for clearing that up for me.

      • i’ve been saying that since the story broke.

    • burgerking

      word up bro

    • I Truly respect your statement mate.
I wish there were much more people like you.

I once had a debate here and some muppet who couldn’t hold his / her own said I was racist. I had to reveal to him / her that I’m black too and they had nothing else to say.

I feel sorry for the non racist folks who have to make decisions / comments based on merit and being called racist as a result. It surely must be hard for them.

  • Whatbruh

Wasn’t this the same dude that recorded buck while buck was pouring out
his heart to him? And this dude wants to talk about betrayal.

  • burgerking

    • IceBergSlim

I believe your speaking about yourself only..Please kill that dumb shit you just said

    • TALK_BOSS

      Smarterer??

  • 50 called it exactly how i saw it from the beginning…wasn’t about race it was about the mistress of a Billionaire (pretty much looked at as an escort) being seen with Millionaires and some ppl who wasn’t even worth a Million (i.e. Kurrupt of the dogg pound) and his Rich BILLIONAIRE friends are getting at him on some “This Is Your Prize Possession??? A Whore who not only sleeps with You a Billionaire but a Thousandaire too???” i always felt it was more about the Social Class than the actual race…just my opinion.

    • Whatbruh

It was about Race. This guy has been sued over racial beliefs before. Like people are saying, this has been known for years in the NBA circle that he was a racist. They could not do anything to him without proof, but now the proof is on tape.

      • i’m not sayin that he’s not a racist…what i’m saying is BASED ON THAT CONVERSATION that didn’t come off to me as being about Race it came off as your chick is publicizing her relationships with ppl who aren’t as rich and he’s dealing with the backlash of it…if you listen to it you’ll notice that it wasn’t even him bring up race, she kept bring race into the convo and his replies were “what are you talking about? i don’t have a problem with minorities…” and “why are you saying these kind of things”…at that point i would’ve looked to hear her say something like “well i’m saying that because last week you called such and such the N Word” or something along those lines….even at his highest point of anger in that convo it was “Don’t Bring Blacks to My Game”…no any racial slurs which he could’ve easily used if thats how he talked/felt because remember it was a private convo that he had no idea was being recorded so why would he have to hold back…she set him up from the beginning.

My album might be an actual dud but the finances I generate will allow the general public to follow me into space and be stable financially and actually to the stable environment I provide for my son. I actually don’t want my son’s actual mother to suffer the finanical space of going into space, but they know not to actually mess with me because I go to a space where Im mentally actually financially actual #smsaudio”

  • You’ve got to give dude props for voicing his opinions when asked and not jumping on the bandwagon like many other rappers who used the occasion to get some publicity.

On the other hand I’m sure that if Sterling was a black dude who got himself into a sticky situation 50 will fuel the fire and attempt to ruin the dude.

He picked his words carefully when answering that question.
