Kanye West and Annie Leibovitz Address Weding Photo Controversy

(AllHipHop News) This past Tuesday (June 17th), Kanye West spoke at the Cannes Lions Creativity Conference in France and stated that famous photographer Annie Leibovitz cancelled on shooting his wedding photos “right before the wedding—maybe she was scared about the idea of celebrity”. In a joint statement recently released by both West and Leibovitz, the pair address the miscommunication which led to Leibovitz’s absence from West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding.

The joint statement asserts that the pair’s representative “were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding.” That fact was not made apparent to the groom on the day of his wedding as the statement continues that “unbeknownst to Kanye, she was never confirmed.”

At the Cannes Lions Creativity Conference West claimed that he wanted Annie Leibovitz to shoot his wedding photo in order to improve the level quality of Instagram pictures. In the joint statement West added a personal quote about the controversy and hinted at why he originally voiced his frustrations at the conference:

The most-liked Instagram photo of all time, shot by Annie Leibovitz.  Oh, I’m sorry for dreaming out loud.  Again.
