Playaz Club still sh-ts on any of the current rappers current hits

  • I keep telling you all that this Drake dude is a fraud….But because he is light skinned he gets a free pass…All his material/lyrics are sampled from other artists beats and lyrics…Fans know and will call you out…Thank God for the internet

    • Jonathan Bacher

      wgaf
      everyone is biting everyone anyway

    • His complexion gets him a pass huh….

      • You know dam well that light skin artists don’t struggle as hard as the darker ones… Get real what world do you live in.

    • Casor_Greener

All his lyrics?!??! man stfu and I don’t like Drake that much

    • Killuminati

Can you give me some examples of him reconfiguring songs aside from this rappin 4 Tay incident ?

      • 1.Miss Me (2010) sampled from

Should I go on or nah?

      • Killuminati

That is sampling….every artist samples….I like how you edited your previous statement to try and make more sense out of the dumb shit you said….and he didn’t go word for word on any song that you listed like he did on the yg track that he had to pay for….nice try tho….and I’m pretty sure he is not getting a pass cuz he’s light skinned….it’s most likely because people bring him song concepts because he is the “NOW” artist and he uses them…just like lady gaga or Aerosmith or anyone on the top tier of internationally known artists lol…..foh

    • 5% Hov

Nah he talented. its just this was shady move.
Most these young kids don’t know playa’s club so they see it as straight “biting” when they find out.

I must admit – I didnt realise until article and loved that playa club joint.

  • Jonathan Bacher

“Coughed up” not coughed off you retards.

  • bigdoe6

Being paid is one thing, but paying homage to a bay area legend is another. This guy has done songs with Pac, Spice 1, Too Short, E-40 and other west coast legends. Drake was supposed to pay homage to this man. A lot of rappers borrow or steal but Drake/YG did some shady ish by not giving the man songwriting credits. Now that’s stealing. This song still smashing the charts and dudes think it’s cool to cut the man out of the credits when he wrote those lyrics. Screw the $100k and give the man his credit and publishing share. That’s what you call respect and paying homage to your OG. I swear this couldn’t happened in the 90s.

    • Killuminati

Also he went word for word rather than switching it up to make it his own lol….how did he not expect anyone to notice?

      • 5% Hov

        oh u right.
this shit wouldnt happened in the 90’s

      • hoeyuno

I just dont get how someone in drakes position whos papered up wouldn’t reach out to the og first on some I was a fan ish, im doing a version of your song and I need your info to wire you some homage…..4 tay woulda been more then happy!!

    • TheAfroRican

Agreed. I’m pretty sure 4-Tay would earn more than 100K if had publishing on the track.

      • bigdoe6

Hell yea but BMI and Ascap has to collect the money first. That can take months and years. Ascap is pretty quick though. He took the $100k now he got money he can go flip instead of waiting on a check.

    • Markus

Completely agree with you. Dude should’ve been given publishing credit. Surprised he took the money. It was the equivalent of giving the homeless a dollar and telling him now go away I took care of you.

      • bigdoe6

He took the money cause most people don’t want to wait for BMI and Ascap to cut checks. So they take what’s in front of them.

    • 5% Hov

I agree wit homage – but it happened all the time in 90’s… dont front son.
This suing niggas shit is new. Niggas been biting son.

Ghostface said it on the purple tape…

      • TheAfroRican

        “Shark N****s (Biters)” skit

    • Casor_Greener

wouldnt shit have happened in the 90s

      • Dubz

I don’t know about that….Ice Cube and B-Real beef started cause Cube stole his lyrics

  • El Dogga

WOW!!!! Dayum he blatantly stole that man’s rap! Rappin 4 Tay use to be nice! 100k is a HUGE discount!!! You know how many spins that song gets? I wouldn’t asked for 100K and a percentage point of the sales!!!

    • 5% Hov

Definitely should be getting points… 8 bars is damn near 1/10 of vocal publishing…

  • Sgt. H. Jennings

4-Tay should be thanking Drake. As of over 10 yrs ago, no one was checking for 4-Tay or even thinking about the music he’s done, the artist he’s worked with and the cemented mark he has on the West Coast Hip-Hop scene and 90’s Hip-Hop as a whole. Drake did steal his lyrics and Drake may have did it in a somewhat shady way but dude got 100K for it and now he’s getting free press from all over the urban sector both online and on the radio. If 4-Tay was smart, he’d capitalize off this unexpected reemergence and ride this out. He stands to make a lot more than 100K. 4-Tay is a legend but let’s keep it 100, no one has mentioned dude’s name in a minute on a scale of this magnitude. Take advantage. That’s all I’m saying.

    • 5% Hov

Nah…. if he hit it up before he put it out and broke bread then yeah 4-Tay would be thanking him…

4-Tay had to lawyer up just to get a response from Drake… FOH. This is disrespectful…

Not to say Drake is the first… I never heard Jay pay anybody… however Drake took like 8 bars LOL

      • Sgt. H. Jennings

Yea, I see your point there. Well Drake did cut out and do some shady shit but 4-Tay still can make this a win win for him. But I see your point and agree…

      • 5% Hov

        true.

      • SupaDoopaGhost1

it was more like 10 or 12. He used HALF the man verse. At one point it crosses the line of “Borrowing” and just becomes outright SAMPLING. 4-Tay should get some publishing.

      • Ipullcards

Please jay took plenty of bars esp from big and other artists like ugk. Nothing wrong but this is low key extortion.. Cash money didn’t even step in! But drake shouts out the bay a lot so I guess he just payed for his hood pass

      • GP

man jay owe bg hell doh. for stealing his cash money is an army. going say rockafella is an army. laughable

      • bigdoe6

Do you understand how music publishing works???? I don’t think you do. Doesn’t matter how many bars he did. That’s why DJ Premier scratches and samples a certain way cause dudes be coming after him trying to get paid. He chops records in a way you can’t really sue him. Drake on the other hand just takes the man lyrics and don’t give writing credits. That wrong.

    • Mustafa Ahmad

that’s the most insulting thing i’ve ever heard you must be 12 smh

    • What the Hell—–You really think that every rapper or artist from the past is sitting down waiting for some shine from these new artists? Get over yourself some older artists want to be left alone they did their thing and don’t what to be all up in the mix like that…most importantly if you are going to use someones work at least ask for permission.

    • bigdoe6

That’s like quincy jones thanking all the people who sampled MJ thriller catalog. Dude your stupiddddddd.

      • Sgt. H. Jennings

What? Dude sit the hell down someone. I’m not surprised one bit by your comment. Lol. Have fun buddy.

    • Arrie Mental Woodard

you fam i usually dont do this but….. OUR…. our old schoolers hahahaha

      • hoeyuno

I never know what “there” to use either..there, their, they’re. ….

  • hoeyuno

Why wouldn’t you reach out to the legends first and say your paying homage to them you need a number to wire the stack’???? Everybody would be happy..

  • Ipullcards

As he should. Now 4-Tay go ride this wave and drop an album and sell 10,000 units. That’s All he really wanted right? Cash and a opprotunity to sell his old music..

    • Arrie Mental Woodard

      lmao…. 10000 units hahahahaha

  • GP

4 tay should have pimp slapped drake! let this foreign fuqq steal the lyrics from one of the most pimpish songs ever made.

    • Arrie Mental Woodard

he from canada, its not like afghanistan, he may as well be american…. that comment sounded ridiculous bruh!

      • GP

Canada still foreign brah. you need a passport to go there right? so what does that say? they speak English but the native tongue is French! sheeesh

      • Arrie Mental Woodard

trust me i realize that, been there done that but you can walk right across a bridge from new york…. thats why i said he might as well be american lmao

      • GP

ok I dig what you sayin. if that’s the case then yea he can be considered a canamerican.

      • Arrie Mental Woodard

word.. Canamerican lmao. Yo i seen this fool on the Espy’s… dam he sounded like his name should have been Poindexter… i thought it was a white dude hosting the show hahahaha.

      • hoeyuno

The passport shyt started after 9/11..and there’s only one province that speaks french. Quebec.

  • $36424596

any real nigga woulda taken it as props and let it go. this old washed up ass was never really poppin, and he hatin on someone payin homage.
dude a lame, and it can’t be no love between him and drake, else he wouldn’t have done this hoe ass shit.
funny thing is, this nigga gon blow through this lil payday, and be prayin them royalty checks help sustain his bummy ass.
    drake gon be rich forever.

  • Arrie Mental Woodard

to everybody talking that he should have reached out shit…. most of the time its not the artist doing the reaching out… its management or other label personnel to do that just like clearing samples. Drake may have been in the wrong but come on. and all of yall always saying “why this younger generation always taking to twitter to handle beef, blah blah blah” well this is no different. should have quietly got the lawyers involved and got his money, we didnt need tweets about this….

  • GP

I see a few folks on here don’t got no type of pimping in them. making these corner store comments!

    • $36424596

      shut yo stupid ass up

  • Wolf William
