Lil Durk Gets Probation For Gun Charge, Will Address It On Debut Album

(AllHipHop News) Lil Durk was on the verge of following many of his fellow Illinoisans to jail for a year prison sentence over gun possession. Earlier today (August 5th), Lil Durk pled guilty to gun possession in relation to an April 2013 arrest.

Durk was arrested in Chicago on April 10th, 2013 in the 7200 block of South Green Street after police witnessed him toss a loaded gun in the backseat of a stolen car. While prosecutors requested Durk be sentenced to one year in prison, Judge Joseph Kazmierski, Jr. sentenced the 20 year old MC to 18 months of probation and 50 additional hours of community service at CureViolence at the University of Illinois.

Durk released Signed To The Streets 2 back last month and is expected to drop his debut album Remember My Name later this year. According to Durk speaking with reporters outside the courtroom, his debut album will include details recounting his court battle

I’m going talk about everything that’s gone on, everything that’s happened this past year – the violence, the deaths, the court.
