Nas Explains Why He No Longer Listens To "Ether"; Says New Music Coming Soon

NAS TALKS “ILLMATIC” DOCUMENTARY, FATHERHOOD, NEW MUSIC, & “ETHER”/”TAKEOVER”

(AllHipHop News) Nas recently stopped by The Angie Martinez Show. The Queens native discussed the Time Is Illmatic documentary and more. During the program, a fan requested that Angie play the classic Jay Z diss record “Ether,” but according to the radio host, Esco shut that idea down.

“It’s just old,” said Nas about not wanting the track played. When Angie suggested that people no longer have hard feelings about the song, Nas replied, “I don’t know that… I don’t feel anything from it. It’s just so old.”

Nas also shares that he does not listens to “Ether” or Jay’s “Takeover” anymore. For him, the two legends have a good relationship now, so there is no need to go back to those times when they were feuding.

While Nas is not blasting particular tracks from 2001, he does plan to drop new music in the very near future. A track could be coming as early as this week.
