BET caught up with boxing legend Bernard Hopkins to ask the current IBF and WBA light heavyweight champion about the Hip Hop moguls’ move into his area of expertise. “The Alien” believes Hov and Fif can bring something valuable to prize fighting.

“Roc Nation, they in the game right now. They put skin in the game big time,” said Hopkins. “Anyone that gets in the game to sincerely enhance what we have already, I’m all for it. Because to me, not one promoter should run boxing.”

Hopkins is set to take on WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev on November 8 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The bout will air on HBO.
