“My goal is to get a joint venture like the Bad Boys, the Roc-A-Fellas, the Murders Incs, Ruff Ryders. I’m gonna do that, cause I’m from New York and I’m a young boss,” Troy reveals to Hot 97. “It’s all types of six-figure deals, but I ain’t bust a move yet. It ain’t no rush to bust a move, because we’re putting out dope records.”

There had been reports Troy was close to signing with T.I.’s Grand Hustle imprint. The “All About The Money” rapper explains that he and Tip are working together.

“T.I.’s the home team. We’re putting plays together behind the scenes,” states Troy. “T.I. is definitely influential in everything I do, but I got the number one independent label in the streets -BSB Records.”

Tip spoke about his connection with Troy on The Breakfast Club last October. The Atlanta native discussed why he respects Troy Ave’s approach to building his brand on his own.

“I will say he is definitely closely associated [with Grand Hustle]. The business part of it – we’re still working that part out,” T.I. said. “I respect him a lot for this – he’s making it a point to say, ‘Hey listen, I got to get a certain amount of the groundwork done myself.’ He don’t wanna just come in and have us do everything.”
