Nas Partners Up With New York Soul Food Restaurant ‘Sweet Chick’

NASTY NAS HAS BEEN TAPPED FOR ANOTHER BUSINESS VENTURE

New York-based soul food restaurant chain Sweet Chick has recruited Nas to assist them with their expansion plans, Hip-Hop Wired reports.

Sweet Chick has locations in the Lower East Side section of Manhattan and in Brooklyn but with the help of the Queensbridge emcee, the restaurant’s owner John Seymour hopes to open a third NYC location and possibly one on the west coast.

“As we continue to grow and develop the Sweet Chick brand, we want to align with partners and artists that understand what we represent,” said Seymour in a statement. “When conceptualizing Sweet Chick, we understood the history of chicken & waffles and wanted to have an amazing product while paying homage to its roots within the music community of NYC. Music has played a huge part in defining who we are and with Nas (my favorite rapper) on board, it’s a dream come true and we can truly move forward with a ‘NY state of Mind’ and introduce SWEET CHICK to a bigger audience.”

Last night (June 17), Seymour celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Lower East Side location and Nas was in attendance.

This isn’t the only business venture Nasty Nas is involved in. The Life is Good rapper has also been snagged fir Sprite’s Obey Your Verse campaign where his lyrics will appear on Sprite cans for the entire summer.
