Two Men Plead Guilty In Shooting Of Wiz Khalifa’s Uncle

TWO MEN HAVE BEEN SENTENCED IN THE MURDER OF 20-YEAR-OLD IMANI PORTER

Two men have plead guilty in the shooting death of Wiz Khalifa’s uncle, the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette reports. Imani Porter, 20, was killed in January 2014 in a drug deal gone bad.

Michael Wolford, 21, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, firearms violation, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years. Jaron Young, 19, also plead guilty to third-degree murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery and two forearm violations. He was sentenced to 12 1/2 to 25 years in prison. Homicide charges were withdrawn in Paul Sanders’ case and he plead guilty to drug related conspiracy charges and felony drug charges.

Sanders reportedly drove Wolford and Young to a local Steak N’ Shake for a heroin sale with Porter. After Young asked to get some drugs for free, Porter was shot in the head. Sanders was not in the car during the shooting.

Wiz has not commented on the convictions but when Porter was murdered he tweeted, “Rest in peace, Imani. [You’re] with Allah now. My uncle was younger and more level headed than all of us. I would have never seen this happening in a million years.”
