EXCLUSIVE: Ice Cube Talks Wanting To Have A Conversation With President Barack Obama

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRES. OBAMA!

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop legend Ice Cube once rapped, “I’ll never have dinner with the President.” The line – taken from the classic diss track “No Vaseline” – was a response to Cube’s former N.W.A groupmate Eazy-E attending a luncheon held by Republican President George H.W. Bush.

Nearly 25 years after Cube released “No Vaseline,” the California emcee/actor may have softened his views on sitting down with the POTUS. Especially, since the current man in the White House is the first African-American to hold the office.

AllHipHop.com caught up with Cube to ask him if he is still on a self-imposed ban from having dinner with the Leader of the Free World. The 46-year-old producer of the upcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton reveals he wants to chat with Barack Obama a few years down the road.

“[Laughs] Yeah, I’d break bread with Obama,” says Cube. “Yeah, but I want to do it when he’s not the president. I think the conversation would be better.”

When asked if Obama would be more real once he leaves the White House, Cube replied, “Yep, yep.”

Today is President Obama’s birthday. The 44th President of the United States turns 54.
