Billboard spoke to Pusha about getting a co-sign from the Hip Hop legends. The My Name Is My Name album creator was shocked to find out he was even mentioned in the conversation.

“It blew my mind, actually. I haven’t had any interaction with Dre, or Ren, ever,” said Push. “It’s ironic because I was super hyped when Dr. Dre’s Beats 1 [show] promo was ‘Numbers On The Board.’ I was like, ‘Aw, Dre probably got some kid [to do the promo].’ How else would Dr. Dre know about Pusha T?”

Fans of Pusha are patiently waiting for his sophomore album. According to the Clipse spitter, listeners can expect something from King Push in the coming weeks.

“I am feverishly trying to finish King Push, and get some music out this month,” added Pusha. “It’s a real easy thing — just a couple different pieces that I feel like need to be in place.”
