Double Trailers For John Legend Produced TV Series ‘Underground’ Released (VIDEO)

WATCH TWO SNEAK PEEKS OF THE UPCOMING WGN AMERICA SERIES

WGN America announced the network’s new series Underground will premiere Wednesday, March 9. Executive producers Misha Green and Joe Pokaski created the program centered around the story of escaped slaves’ heroic journey to freedom along the Underground Railroad. Academy Award-winner John Legend of the Get Lifted film company is also on board as an executive producer.

Today, two new trailers for Underground have hit the internet. “Wanted” is told from the perspective of slave owner Tom Macon (Reed Diamond). “The Plan” is told from the viewpoint of a slave named Noah (Aldis Hodge).

The 10-episode, hour-long program also stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell (True Blood, Friday Night Lights), Christopher Meloni (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), Alano Miller (Jane The Virgin), ‎Jessica de Gouw (Arrow), Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), ‎Adina Porter (The 100), Mykelti Williamson (24), ‎Amirah Vann (Girls), Johnny Ray Gill (Rectify), Chris Chalk (Gotham), Theodus Crane (The Walking Dead), Renwick Scott (Treme) and Jussie Smollett (Empire).
