Remy Ma Talks Not Being Able To Forget Life Behind Bars

Remy’s Struggle To Move On

Remy Ma has opened up about the constant reminders she has of prison while living life on the outside. Since her release, Remy has taken on a staring role on Love and Hip Hop New York, has thrown a magnificent wedding and has been dropping new music without fail.

Everything seems to be on track for the New York native but some things are difficult for her to leave in the past.
“I do not necessarily have flashbacks, but daily things you do get into a routine,” Remy told Page Six. “Every day [at] 11 and 5:30 was ‘count time,’ so those are the things that would trigger me, when on the outside at that particular time.”

Even little things like household items can bring her back to her troubling time behind bars.

“I would say the biggest reminders I have of jail are seeing coolers. In jail, we were not allowed to have refrigerators, so we had to keep our food in coolers,” she continued. “Whenever I see a little blue cooler, I am like, ‘Oh, my God, not a cooler! I hate coolers!’ So there are certain items that . . . trigger the thought of jail.”

It can be hard getting adjusted but with the love and support she has from her husband, Papoose, her friends and family and her adoring fans Remy is well on her way to a whole new world of success and good fortune.
