THE NBA LEGEND SHOWS LOVE TO HIS FORMER TEAMMATE

(AllHipHop News) Future Hall of Fame basketball player Kobe Bryant announced this will be his final season in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers great will likely end his career with 5 NBA championships, 1 league MVP award, 18 All-Star game appearances, and a top 3 placement on the list of all-time points scored.

The early part of Kobe’s time with the Lakers was spent alongside NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. The pair won 3 titles together in the early 2000’s. In an interview with AllHipHop.com, Shaq talked about Kobe’s decision to step away from the court.

“It’s time. I wish everybody could have played longer,” says Shaq. “He did a lot for the game. Me and him had great history together.”

“Shaq and Kobe” is consider one of the greatest tandems to ever play the sport. According to the Inside The NBA analyst, his partnership with Bryant created the single greatest duo of all time.

“We are the most dominant, most enigmatic, most controversial one-two punch in Laker history. Not only that, we’re the best one-two punch ever,” declares Shaq. “A lot of people say Kareem and Magic. I don’t care what they say. Nobody did it like me and Kob.”
