(AllHipHop News) Known for his blunt delivery, Machine Gun Kelly rarely minces words. Today (Jan. 26), while the Bad Boy rapper was in Los Angeles, he spoke about his thoughts on Macklemore’s controversial track, “White Privilege II.” After being opined as one of the Top five greatest rappers, MGK offered, “I mean, I’m not just a great white rapper; I’m a great rapper period, muthaf**ka.”

Since being released “White Privilege II” has sparked many debates regarding its creative content and its social implications. The “Invincible” MC then declared, “Race is not an issue. Race is a issue for people like Macklemore and sh*t,” this according to TMZ. MGK soon reinforced his stance on Macklemore when he claimed, “Bruh, I’m comfortable in my own skin. Man, I can’t help other people be the same way.”

Is Hip-Hop more concerned with color or creativity?

  • Nightmare

Is this the part where white rappers start shootin at each other over rap beef ? Enquiring mind wanna know.

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

it wont be the part where the media start reporting the decades of millions of vids posted and share Daily , of white race’s culture of molesting babys , proven on their populartity of their genre, child porn

  • Isa Ibn Maryam

The white supremacist movement is on full self preservation mode they know the end is near. History has shown us that all dynasty will indeed fall when all said and done. The Khawarji followers or traitors to Islam have launched an jihad doctrine of war against the west and it’s nothing that they can do about it.

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

what white supremacist , Me or anyone I know have never seen one , or their movement – so explain , what white supremacist ?

    • Brindle

if this is jihad, it sure aint much… few people here and there but for the most part they’re killing fellow Muslims more than anyone on the West… you should switch your ideology, it’s losing…

      • Isa Ibn Maryam

The followers of Khawarji is the only ones losing who btw are instruments of the west…Isis, Taliban, AI Qaeda.

      • Brindle

  • Brindle

LMAO @ all blacks seen with this retard….

    • Casor_Greener

What did he say that was so bad?!?!? Once again much ado about nothing.

      • Brindle

press play again, then listen to what he did say and listen to what he didnt say… you know, I got some water from Flint Mi to sell you

      • Casor_Greener

“Race is not an issue” “I”m comfortable in my own skin” “I”m one of the best rappers, not just white”…again tell me what I’m missing. also tell me how he “exploits the culture”

      • Brindle

        1. exploits the culture cause they consider him hiphop and he sucks, that goes for the wack black rappers too… 2. most idiots are comfortable in their own skin. 3. race is not an issue- it is the issue in white privilege which is why the call it white privilege, its been proven, this is not the 1st time a white person has admitted it… he’s just saying non of them would sell as much if they weren’t white… are you saying he’s wrong?

      • Casor_Greener

what does MGK even sell today? I’m not denying some artists benefit from being white, but not all do. I didn’t even know MGK had an album out. Eminem, Macklemore, and Iggy yeah but MGK? Paul Wall? them boys sold just as much as brothers with similar styles so I can’t say they benefited.

In the case of MGK I mean “0” because I have never seen him on any chart topping list

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

now this is fact …. im afraid some of my brothers and sisters have so much hidden hate that they just see every person of a different race as someone who takes advantage and hides lol …. folks need to open they chackras … im not saying MGK is a saint in disguise or anything like that … but damn give the kid a break …… out of most of those artist he truely cares about the craft and hip hop and pays homage … similar to Em …. but different from how other like iggy and miley approach the culture but not trying to really knock them either …. folks be acting like they owe us something … like some kind of entitlement … we can be critical of thier art … but its thier work ethic that get them where they are @ and not privledge …. cause @ the end of the day if you really wanna get to the bottom of it …. some of us are treating them like how we were treated when things were truely segregated with just pure hate … sure they arent dealing with physical abuse … but folks sometimes go overboard … and imo its fine if it fits …. but going @ mgk imo is the wrong dude …. even macklemoore to a certain extent ……. but all in all some people sit around and beg and others do them and go out and get what they want ……. different mentalities ……

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

#1 = thats your opinion not factz …. and lets keep in mind MGK doesnt sell !!!!!!!!!!!!! @least not so far he hasnt sold any big #s or had major success like Miley Iggy Macklemoore or Em etc…..

  • RAMADAwhite

of course MGK is comfortable in “his own skin” #whitepriviledge

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

he wuddent if the media didn’t deflect from white people’s million vids posted right now , showing them sexually attacking infants

  • KashIsKlay

MGK is trash and so that was that remark

    • Marc Btes

So is Macklemore….so i guess its even.?!?

      • KashIsKlay

Macklemore admitted that white privilege is indeed a thing. He is braver than MGK.

      • Marc Btes

My point is who cares, minorities have been known white privilege has been a thing. Forget rap, what about jobs?

      • KashIsKlay

Yes, MINORITIES. Who are in the minority in the country and until there is a bigger voice and change regarding those issues then we will still have problems in America. Which why it was dope for a white artist to finally admit the shit. It gets the conversation started again.

      • Marc Btes

My point exactly you think the 1% cares about us acknowledging their white privilege in music? It gets a conversation started and beating a dead horse continues. That 1% gives no fucks about what we think of them And Macklemores white privilege isnt the same as the 1% privilege.,,,

      • KashIsKlay

Yeah but I’m taking about the 1% the population in general is the 99%. If someone else can get the message out to the masses then that’s good. It doesn’t matter who the messenger is as long as it gets out. So it’s nothing wrong with adding an additional spotlight to it. Because we did not create these conditions they did and continue to uphold those conditions and for them to be completely eradicated they will have to acknowledge things like this.

      • KashIsKlay

Jobs ha, the 1% don’t care about creating jobs. Less jobs more wealth for them. That’s another issues

  • pauleyPee

See, when you’re black… Especially a man… You have to deal with your blackness. Some never overcome the burden, some of us do. When you’re white, you don’t have to deal with it, necessarily. MGK just proved to me that he doesn’t belong in this culture. But then again, there are a list of other rappers who have said similarly stupid shi*. Wayne with the Emmit Till line? smh

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

we deal with our blackness .. but the fact that you dont see how he has to deal with FAME … is why i hope no one takes your opinion serious …..

      • pauleyPee

        Explain.

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

its alot of people in that airport … probably THOUSANDS !!!!!! why is this guy following filming and asking MGK sarcastic questions ……………… similar to us walking into an high end clothing store and there 10 other people in the store yet the store manager or clerk is following us around the store asking if we need some help …………

      • pauleyPee

After watching the video again, that’s fair. The pap-guy was actually trying to get the kid to put his foot in his mouth. I’ll buy that.

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

the pap guy was asking for a black eye with a broken arm as a side dish lol

      • Q.

It’s TMZ, dude. They made trolling into an industry.

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

i know that but still doesnt mean mgk should give them the respect of answering his stupid question … id do the same ish im listening to Nas right now beat it !!! lol

  • BetterLuck?

So Will Talib be going in on MGK?

    • Brindle

      interesting question? he should

  • His answers says it all, basically he likes our music but our cultural issues is are problem #Sucker

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

thats not what he was saying … he was telling d*ck face get away with the trolling questions… top 5 white rapper …… thats not how you start off a conversation with someone YOU DONT KNOW … and expect a real honest conversation to follow ….

  • Brindle

Proof that MGK is part of the problem, with Hiphop and culture

  • shock

yall actually listen to this MF?

  • WeakSauce

only gezzz, the comments on here lol

  • remy730

privileged people don’t usually know that they’re privileged. That’s why white peoples opinion on white privilege doesn’t matter. We like to joke about first world problems but some of us actually get heated when the internet slows down or they find out their latte has soy. Macklemore was that dude when he was capein for gays. lol, what happened? Oh well, I’m glad MGK never had to deal with the consequences of his parents being red lined and not able to partake in the better school district that they were trying to start a family in. I live in texas in the same city as that affluenza kid; if you want to explain how white privilege doesn’t exist, i’m all ears and need a good laugh.

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

trust mgk knows whats up … but he dgaf … thats the difference …… thats not whats on his mind … and i can respect him for that ….. hes just trying to be a good artist … and @ the end of the day … hes not really currently benefiting from his privledge as some of these other artist that were mentioned … lol sadly …….

      • DJ7

Smh…I know you know better than that weak ass comment Kevin!

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

i ended it with an LOL … it wasnt a serious one

  • Knickfan4life

Who called this dude one of the best ever? Smh

    • King Alvarez

      watching the video should help

      • Knickfan4life

Again I ask what would make him one of the best white rappers ever flop after flop

      • brotha_man

right. mgk corny af. everybody wanna be a nigga, but nobody wanna be a nigga

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

hes still young … not saying hes the best … but hes ill ….

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

what do you mean by ” finding yoself ” ? – a person that don’t explain what they said is a Dumbass , don’t be one anymore — explain what you mean by ” finding yoself “

  • Knickfan4life

I give macklmore credit eminem, vanilla ice none of these clowns ever addressed that white rappers get ahead quicker even with crappy lyrics.

  • ACC_Fan

I honestly don’t think pellet gun Kelly has the intelligence or decency to acknowledged the issue at hand. This is the type of chump we need to start taxing. Where is Trick Trick when you need him?

  • ItGoesDownINtheDM

yo dudes like that cameraman need to get pi$$ed on get a freaking life man …. i salute mgk for not losing it on him …

  • Anthony Mason

MGK is honest about his intentions….Chill people…

  • Q.

MGK wants to be down with Black culture, but not the social issues that come along with it–that’s his choice…but don’t expect to be accepted or validated by the Culture if you take that stance. Macklemore held up a mirror to white supremacy, and it’s making a lot of people uncomfortable. If you have nothing to say on issues, then dummy up…but getting defensive like Iggy, just shows you’re out of touch and out of your league when it comes to Hip-Hop. There’s rap and then there’s Hip-Hop…levels to this sh!t!

  • brotha_man

just listened to the song. its some real spill. say what you want but its hiphop.

  • Raheem Classick

Remember Blues, Jazz, Rock & Roll, the same thing is happening with Hip Hop.
There are white artist (NOT ALL) who do know the ins and outs of the Hip Hop Culture, and then you have those who have potential, and then you have the ones that are created in the studio.
Once Black people give the go ahead, by way of collaborations with some of our Top Artist, our DJ’s who play their music or some of our Label Heads & Producers who prep and put them on.
    Once A few of them are accepted by us, that’s when they strike, the white people don’t need your co-sign anymore, they make sure the one’s they like are successful. (Vanilla Ice, Iggy Azalea, Kid Rock, Macklemore}

  • MGK is a dumb ass… No one asked him to cosign anybody. If he didn’t agree with the sh*t all his dumb ass had to do was say “No comment”. Now Diddy might have to touch him up with a champagne bottle or two. B*tch focus on your busted elbow and shut the f*ck up….
