Did Kanye West Have A Meltdown Before His SNL Performance?

SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT

Kanye West has had a very eventful month with his album, ‘The Life Of Pablo’, Twitter rants, Yeezy Season 3 fashion show/concert, and his Saturday Night Live performance. Apparently there is more to his SNL performance. According to Page Six, Kanye had a meltdown before he hit the SNL stage, and even allegedly threatened to cancel his performance. A source told Page Six, that SNL’s head honcho Lorne Michaels had to try to reason with Ye.

“Just moments leading into the live show, and during the live show, Kanye had a meltdown and threatened to walk off,”

said a source familiar with the scene. Apparently Ye’s issue was his performance stage setting, which consisted of mainly a video screen.

“It had something to do with the set. Kim, who was in the audience with Kylie Jenner, had to come down. Lorne had to personally talk to Kanye. There were a few really tense minutes,”

said the source. Another source added more details on West:

“He freaked out about how the set was arranged. He was saying he’s ‘the greatest artist.’ He’s having regular meltdowns. Everyone’s walking on eggshells around him. He’s under a lot of stress between the new album and the fashion line.”

Allegedly the staffers had to start preparing for the worst. After all artistic differences were worked out, Kanye decided to stay and perform. Maybe Kanye needs to seek help. Even Rhymefest says he needs counseling.
