Kanye West Blasts ‘SNL’ & Taylor Swift In Leaked Audio Rant

YE: “DON’T F*CK WITH ME! DON’T F*CK WITH ME! DON’T F*CK WITH ME!”

(AllHipHop News) If you thought Kanye West’s recent tendency to express his frustration was only confined to Twitter, then you would be wrong. Audio of Kanye ranting backstage at Saturday Night Live has leaked online.

Page Six reports Kanye was yelling at the SNL production staff just moments before the show was set to broadcast. In the clip, the Def Jam artist can be heard saying, “Look at that sh*t. They took my f*cking stage off of SNL without asking me. Now I’m bummed. That and Taylor Swift fake ass.”

Kanye was the musical guest for the February 13 episode of the late night comedy sketch program. Apparently, he was upset that SNL staff removed the shiny flooring from his set, because it was creating an unwanted effect from the stage light reflections.

“Are they f*cking crazy? Bro, by 50 percent Stanley Kubrick, Apostle Paul, f*cking Picasso and Escobar. By 50 percent more influential than any other human being,” said Kanye. “Don’t f*ck with me! Don’t f*ck with me! Don’t f*ck with me! By 50 percent dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next 1,000 years.”

A source reportedly close to Kanye released a statement to Billboard about the incident. The message stated:

He did not yell at SNL staff. This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show’s lighting director without anyone’s approval. He had spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.

Kanye performed “Ultra Light Beam” and “Highlights” off his new album The Life Of Pablo on Saturday’s show. He was joined by Chance The Rapper, Young Thug, The-Dream, El DeBarge, Kelly Price, and Kirk Franklin.
