Your Old Droog Brings Back That Authentic Hip-Hop On “42 (Forty Deuce)”

Some say he sounds a lot like Nas, but God Son never hopped in an Elmo suit and hopped around New York’s Time Square. You want Hip-Hop authentic? Funny? Well, here it is.

Thoughts?

This guy is a cornball. The fact he stole Nas whole style is disgusting.-@twistx504

he didn’t steal Nas style. He was influenced by it and studied it just like NAS did to Rakims style goose. all Mcs are made up of other MCs. and at the start the influence of the mcs they are influenced by most you can here it and then over time they take on more and more influences and they don’t sound like anyone because they are the unique make up of all the mcs they studied and their own identity. Action Bronson? Lil Wayne, Lupe sounded like Jay at the start and now they don’t. Drake sounded like a Lil Wayne/Kanye/Jay-z baby at the start. Jay-Z, scarface/biggie/nas/big daddy kane/ll cool j/rakim.

I understand where your coming from but i don’t agree 100%. A ton of artist have people who they study and copy in a way but only a certain percent of copying should be allowed . I can understand copying someone style 5 or even 10% but Droog and Action Bronson stole 95 to 100% of Nas and Ghostface style which is not dope at all !! You can defend them all you want but these cats don’t have their own style luckily for them the new fans don’t care about stealing others style nowadays .In the 90’s they would have been ousted from hip hop for not having their own style .Overall shits disgusting .I had to get rid of Action B’s music because of the disrespect to Ghostface .Not only did he steal his style but he disrespected him on Espn = unbelievable . Droog is in the first stage of becoming an artist which = the copying stage .Sadly he’s still stuck in that stage . Once he becomes fully an artist and gets past the copying stage he will be ok but for now he’s considered wack to me until he can be himself at least 90% of the time thru his art .PS the video is shot well (concept sucks) and the beat is cool. The lyrics and and concept of the song sucks and I’m just being honest no hate -@twistx504

Nas does not vocally resemble Rakim tho. In the old days soundig like someone else was career suicide. Now it’s a perk. smh.

      • The Wackness Vs Dope

why r ppl complaining we need this style to survive young thug and future. one day nas will stop rapping. some needs to carry on tradition.

      • Twist Xcellence

At this point u sound rediculous.lost all credibility with this statement ^^^

      • The Wackness Vs Dope

ohhh noooo Twist Xcellence has held his props from me. I’m going to go cry in the corner.

      • Twist Xcellence

        As u should “The wackness” lol.recognize greatness…fool

      • TRUTH SPEAKER

The style that is needed is Nas’s and Rakim’s lyrical content. Not someone who’s a vocal clone of Nas with not even a fraction of his content and lyrical skill.

And for the record, Nas,Rakim,Young Thug, & Future are all dope in their own ways.

      • The Wackness Vs Dope

no his style is the patterns he uses and bar structure, the complexity.

  • BRUCE_LEE_ROY

Him and Action bronson should create a group call The doppelgangers.

Whilst I rate dude as a rapper no question,
if you wanna see the real history of 40 Duce, go on Youtube and search Thirstin Howl “Live on 40 Duce” to see original Lo-Life footage of Times Sq in the 80s.
