Ja Rule To Retire From Rap After ‘Coup de Grâce’ Album

JA RULE CALLS IT QUITS FOR RAP

(AllHipHop News) Since his release from prison last year, Ja Rule has been relatively quiet when it comes to his plans for the rap game.

Yesterday fans got some info on Ja, as the Murder Inc. signed rapper delivered a “on time” message about his future plans for a retirement from the rap game.

After Ja Rule performed on stage at the 12th Annual Desert Smash benefiting St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in Rancho Mirage, California, he spoke on his career plans.

According to Billboard.com Ja Rule said, “[this] will be my last [album] because I’m focusing more on film and television and my companies.”

While his project was originally slated to be called, Genius Loves Company, Ja Rule has taken a page out of Kanye’s book and changed the album title to Coup de Grâce.’

Last month Ja Rule made headlines when it appeared that his longstanding beef with G-Unit was re-ignited via some beef with Young Buck.

While the project is expected to be his last, Ja Rule will revist his Murder Inc years in a TV show for Paramount that is based on the history of Murder Inc Records.

Ja Rule is known for his roles in a host of the films, most notably Scary Movie 3Assault on Precinct 13 and The Fast and the Furious.
