First release of the Official HD Teaser Trailer for “The Birth of A Nation,” starring, produced, written and directed by Nate Parker from Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Recently there have been more than a few Hollywood forays into the telling of America’s relationship to the darker elements of it’s past via slavery.  Considering that many of these forays, while award winning, may have been less than on the mark when it came to getting it right for the likes of the descendants of those who suffered it most, it is indeed promising that “The Birth Of A Nation,” which won the 2016 Sundance Grand Jury Drama prize and the Sundance Audience Award for U.S Drama has the dramatic appearance of being something that could made of more durable and relatable stuff.

The movie, which has a current release date of October 7, 2016, was produced, written and directed by it’s star, Nate Parker.  “The Birth Of A Nation” also stars Armie Hammer, Mark Boone Jr., Colman Domigo, Aunjanue Ellis, Dwight Henry, Aja Naomi King, Esther Scott, Roger Guenveur Smith, Penelope Ann Miller and Gabrielle Union.  See the first Official HD Teaser Trailer here:
