Hip Hop was the center of attention at the first ever National Cannibus Festival in Washington, DC. Legendary rap group De La Soul was the headline for the event, and performed a plethora of singles from their catalogue, including some new music from their upcoming project that’s dropping in August. Plug One (also known as Posdnuos) rapped his verse from De La’s new single “Train Wreck” for the first time ever during the performance.

Another shining moment during De La Soul’s performance was when the trio honored legendary hip hop group, A Tribe Called Quest by performing a brief verse from their single “Excursions.”

To end their performance, and close the festival, De La Soul went back to perform their biggest hits including “Me Myself, and I,” “Rock Co.Kane Flow,” and the classic single which features ATCQ, Queen Latifah, and the Jungle Brothers as super collective, Native Tongues. Although the festival focused mainly on pushing marijuana policy through several panels, vendors, and products, their performance managed to bring together everyone to for a trip back to the old days of Hip Hop. Check out pictures of their performance below.
