LISTEN: YG Discusses New Album “Still Brazy,” Debuts New Single

YG TALKS “STILL BRAZY” AND DEBUTS NEW BANGER!

(AllHipHopNews) Bompton MC YG was recently featured on the cover of LA Weekly to discuss his highly anticipated album Still Brazy, which will be released June 17th.

His interview for the publication was conducted at Snoop Dogg’s recording studio in Inglewood, as he was in the process of completing the new album.

YG confirmed that go-to producer DJ Mustard will not be featured on the album. But he shot down rumors that it was due to personal issues, citing Mustard’s busy schedule as a sought after producer/EDM DJ.

However, with or without comrade DJ Mustard, YG said his newest offering will have a high quality sound, since he was very meticulous with the recording process.

“It’s a feeling, the sound, the flow and the storyline. Does it fit the storyline? Is it cohesive? There’s levels to this s###,” YG told LA Weekly. “It’s not just, ‘What song sounds the best?’ There are a lot of different elements.’”

YG’s longtime friend and manager Brandon Moore provided a bit more insight into what fans can expect from Still Brazy, the follow-up to the rapper’s platinum-selling, 2014 debut My Krazy Life.

“He’s aiming for a real specific vibe and story with this album. We worked with Terrace Martin a lot. He comes from the school of Dr. Dre, Battlecat and all those guys,” Brandon Moore said. “That’s why you hear that souOutside of his involvement in the music industry YG recently founded a nonprofit organization focused on educating foster youth called 4Hundred Wavend.”
