BJ the Chicago Kid Updates Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On”

BJ THE CHICAGO KID REMIXES A LEGENDARY SONG

Marvin Gaye’s song “What’s Going On” is getting remixed again, almost 45 years since it’s original release in May of 1971.

The classic Motown album has been re-released as a 10” Vinyl EP, with the original 7” versions of the song, as well as a “Coffeehouse Mix” that was produced by BJ the Chicago Kid.

“Singing alongside Marvin Gaye is truly a dream come true for me,” BJ the Chicago Kid said. “Uncle Marvin is, and will always be one of the greatest. This collaboration also solidifies why I’m here in a time when it is proving to be more difficult for artists to find outlets for music with live vocals and live instrumentation. Marvin Gaye wasn’t only the standard for R&B, he also made a huge impact on pop music & pop culture. Long live R&B…”
