Tory Lanez’s ‘I Told You’ Sales Predictions Are In; Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ Headed To Big Week

CHECK OUT THE SPS FORECASTS FOR THE CANADIAN’S DEBUT LP

(AllHipHop News) Tory Lanez has been making media rounds across the country over the last few weeks in support of his debut studio album I Told You.

Many of those interviews included blatant shots at fellow Toronto native Drake.

Did the press and controversy help the Interscope signee push a significant number of units for his LP?

According to HitsDailyDouble, I Told You is on pace to move 35,000 – 40,000 sales plus streaming units and 25,000 – 30,000 traditional album sales units.

While Lanez is likely to land in the Top 10 on the charts, Frank Ocean’s unexpected Blonde could be the huge winner for the week. The Odd Future affiliate’s sophomore studio album was released on Saturday so its prediction numbers have not been calculated as of yet.

However, HDD claims the follow-up to Ocean’s Grammy-winning Channel Orange is pulling in big numbers:

Monday morning it’s the #1 album on the [Apple Music] streaming service and its tracks occupy slots 1 through 17 on the Top Songs chart with “Nikes” at the top.

If the Apple Music/iTunes exclusive is able to collect enough streams/sales to take the top spot, this will be Ocean’s first #1 album of his career. Channel Orange peaked at #2 in 2012.
