(AllHipHop News) Sean “Diddy” Combs likes President Obama, but feels that POTUS could have done more for African Americans during his tenure as the leader of the United States, he said in an interview with Al Sharpton.
The music mogul spoke to the New York-city based reverend on “Politics Nation” and voiced his opinion on Obama’s leadership.
“I think we got a little bit shortchanged,” he continued. “That’s not knocking the President. There’s a lot going on — a lot of balls for him to juggle — he’s done an excellent job, you know, but I think it’s time to turn up the heat because the black vote is going to decide who is the next president of the United States.”
Diddy went on to say that presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has yet to “earn” the Black vote.
“Ms. Clinton … Hillary Clinton, you know, I hope she starts to directly talk to the Black community,” the original Bad Boy Records bad boy stated. “It really makes me feel, you know, almost – hurt that our issues are not addressed and we’re such a big part of the voting [masses].”
In the recent past, Diddy has questioned the importance of voting, but has a storied history of involvement. He kickstarted the infamous Rock the Vote campaign in 2004 presidential election. At that time, he interviewed Obama when he was an Illinois Senator.
