Jay-Z To Produce NBC Show About First African American Sniper Nicholas Irving

JAY Z BRINGS AFRICAN-AMERICAN SNIPER TO TELEVISION!

(AllHipHop News) Rap mogul Jay-Z will be producing an NBC miniseries about African American Army special ops sniper Nicholas Irving.

“The series will take a look inside the life of the world of special ops. The plan is to start filming early next year,” a source said about the six-hour miniseries.

According to Page Six, the series is to be based on Irving’s 2015 memoir The Reaper: Autobiography of One of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers.

The Weinstein Company, who recently agreed to a first-look deal with Jay-Z, has purchased the rights to the book.

The role of Irving in the show will be played by actor Sterling K. Brown.

Brown recently won an Emmy for his role in The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Displaying exceptional marksmanship, Irving made his name during a four-month period in 2009 in which he tallied 33 kills as a master sniper.

This led to him becoming known as “The Reaper,” and also having an AR-15 rifle named after him.

Jay-Z will also soon be producing a biopic about comedian Richard Pryor, with filming set to begin early next year.
