Travis Scott On Kid Cudi’s Artistry: That’s What I Strive To Be

THE G.O.O.D. MUSIC AFFILIATE SINGS THE RAPPER’S PRAISES

(AllHipHop News) Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi is often cited as one of the most influential Hip Hop artists over the last decade.

The Ohio native’s early mixtapes and albums presented an artist willing to open up about his personal highs and lows. He was also fond of incorporating melodies into his tunes which has become a staple in present-day Hip Hop.

Even Kanye West named Cudi as “the most important artist of the past ten years.”

Fellow G.O.O.D Music affiliate Travis Scott also sang the praises of his “through the late night” and “way back” collaborator in an interview with Paper.

“[Kid Cudi] was like the guy that could rap, make a hook, and make a beat, and do a video and show you the life,” said Scott. “That’s what I strive to be.”

The 24-year-old Southerner is expected to appear on Cudi’s forthcoming sixth studio album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’.

A tracklist for the collection features Travis on a record titled “Baptized In Fire.”

Going back to the first LP from Cudi, Man On The Moon:The End of Day, Scott added, “I was like whoa, this is a route you can take like therapy.”
