EXCLUSIVE: Legendary Detroit Rapper Esham Readies His 15th Solo Album, “Scribble”

ESHAM IS BACK WITH A NEW ALBUM “SCRIBBLE”

(AllHipHop News) Pioneering in the Detroit rapper Esham is preparing to release a new album this May, via his own independent label Reel Life Productions.

Esham, who helped kick off the Detroit scene in 1987 with his brother James via the Reel Life label, is preparing to release his 15th album titled Scribble.

The influential rapper, who also dropped eight studio albums with his group NATAS, explained the motivation behind Scribble.

“Everyone is always trying to put a label on me and Scribble is a prime example of why they can’t,” Esham told AllHipHop.com. “I’ve been reinventing myself for 30 years and Scribble is my way of saying you can’t copy my style.”

Esham, who has released dark albums like Boomin’ Words From Hell (1989), KKKill The Fetus (1993), DMT Sessions (2010) and his most recent Dichotomy (2015), said with Scribble, he explore a variety of themes.

“This album encompasses change, beauty, madness, hope, and protest – there’s something for everyone. I’m looking forward to seeing how my fans identify with it,” Esham said.

The first single from Scribble is titled “Trust No One,” and can be heard here. Scribble is due for release on May 26.
