Statik Selektah has revealed he just regained consciousness days following receiving a last-minute emergency surgery. On Sunday (January 14), the lauded East Coast producer shared a hospital bed selfie along with a harrowing message to his personal Instagram account. In the lengthy caption of the post, Selektah describes regaining the ability to breathe on his own within the last 48 hours following an emergency surgery.
“Came in friday to have to have a 1 hour surgery (removal of an abscess) … 2 days later… Life gets complicated. Lung complications that i still don’t understand, but I’m good now breathing on my own & will be back on the streets in a sec. Thanks for the love from everyone. Can’t reply to each of you so if you’re seeing this thank you. Happy to be here. (ps thanks to @mama_selektah holding me down since day 1) Love yours. Not gone lie, i seen that light house a few times in the last 24 hours while i was under & a whole buncha other s### I’ll never forget.”

Several artists and producers, such as Fat Joe, Raekwon, Marlon Craft, Cookin’ Soul, Hit-Boy and more appeared in droves in the comments sections of the post with words of encouragement.
