Ridley Scott has done a lot for Black people with this movie
This movie is so inspirational.
Frank Lucas has probably done more for for Black people than Malcom X and Martin Luther King combined.
This movie should be required at all high schools.
Denzel should get an Oscar for this.
Finally the true great Black people are being recognized.

Frank Lucas himself in an interview with him and Nicky Barnes said that he only snitched on the corrupt cops. I don't think snitching on cops makes you a snitch per se.  In reality by snitching on cops  you might be throwing a monkey wrench into other people's dealings. But those cops can turn on you at any moment and turn you in so I guess it's better to get them off the streets as soon as possible. And if it'll get you a reduced sentence, why not.

I pray to God that you were being sarcastic. I agree wit my man up there that said that MLK and Malcolm gave their lives for what they believed in. While Frank Lucas might've been an amicable person was still a drug dealer at the end of the day. And as anybody from the hood can attest, drugs will and can destroy a whole community. I think I would've just had to eat KFC for thanksgiving and live in a drug free community, than to have Frank Lucas give me a turkey and have everybody strung out on drugs.

yes my comment was satire. But come on most of the rap artists who get hype on this site, Jay Z on down represent slangin as a badge of honor. So you ain't on the same page as most of the fans of this site. Lot these artists had their original demos paid for by your neighborhood crack dealer.

On the real, a lot of people from the hood may (many may not even) "attest" that drug dealing is bad but when the cameras are off they'll say that the game is good because it feeds their kids, don't knock the hustle, "I'm tryin ta get rich out here, got rims, other sucka's working at Wendy's". Why you think Cassidy's "I'm a hustler" was so big? first line "I'm a hustler, I'm a hustler homie I got the product, narcotics for customers homey"

     Guns and Drugs don't kill people, people kill themselves so don't point fingers at people who are doing they're job to survive...Nowhere in the movie did you see Frank Lucas shove blue magic down any fiend's throat, they put it in themselves...They paid money for it!!!!  did you see Frank doing blue magic? no!! because it's stupid to do heroin so he's setting the example of what to do and what no to do... while feeding the evils of the world we live in to enjoy some sort of peace of mind with his immediate family that's all...it's ugly out there yall don't forget, fight to survive but never ruin your relationship with your family because that's all you got in this dog eat dog world.

yeah we feedin our kids but at the expense of somebody elses mom.then the kid who aint raised properly grows up and shoots your lil cousin in the face.so yeah we need to eat but maybe we need to learn to fish rather than just throw a stick of dynamite in the lake.i sold dope fore years and never got caught but still didnt make enough to secure my future.for most dealers its the same story.either you waste years of your life selling and have no work experience so your damn near forced to keep pushin until you get locked up or bodied.i lost about 15 good friends to that life.ALL DEAD.the shit aint glamerous we dying out here.WAKE UP!AND GET YOUR MUTHA FUCKIN KIDS OUT THE STREET!
