I got her 1st cd back in '01, & I only felt like 50% of it. (5 out of the 10 songs) Between the production & her, it was lackluster

I agree w/ u 100%. She sounds retarded trying to compare herself to Bey, that's like when Ciara was trying to say the same thing. I like KeKe (okay) and Ciara, but neither one of them can truly compare. The reason Bey reigns is the same reason MJ did: they are the total package, they dance and sing, and look good (MJ?? Might not apply after Thriller). KeKe does have a great voice, but that is not always enough. If I were an R&B artist I would go with the flow, enjoy the ride, and be the best I could be. There is room in the industry for artists other than Bey, she's just the most poppin'. They need to stop hatin' (cause to me that comparison sounded like exactly that) and be grateful for what success they have achieved.

KeKe is the bomb! As are most of the talented individuals in the music and movie industry that don’t get the proper recognition that they deserve. Her and BeyCraze' are not even comparable. Keke has soul and she is by far from phony. I thought in order to be considered a better than average artist you had to not only be but also display versatility. Screaming in bravado all your life is no wear near a display of versatility. And shapely women are a dime a dozen so...do originality there either.

It’s depressing what the hell sent A&R people are doing to the music industry and even more of a shame how people lack the brain capacity to have their own mind and not go kookoo for coco puffs just because the radio and the video shows tell them to.

Every generation of parents downs the music of that comes after their generation. But I know if given the "Pepsi Challenge" they will surely have to agree that the music shoved down our throat in the Millennium is the worst thus far-I digress.

I like KeKe Wyatt, and I had her first album. It was pretty good. Her rendition of "If Only You knew" was solid, and "I Dont Wan to", is still a subtle way to warn your boyfriend, that if he dont start acting right, he'll be ghost like Britney Spears hair line.

But....she is not Beyonce. I know hating on B is a popular past time these days, but she ought not partake. I wish her well on the new album, I'll cop it.

I don’t believe the interviewer asked her “why” she said that and well you know what they say when you assume. I would hope she said she feels that she sings better than that girl because she simply feels that way and she is grown and when being interviewed or otherwise she can say what she feels. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If a person likes a one toned singing voice then so b it. But b clear...its not bible that the child can sing. To disagree based on a valid principal is not hating. Hating involves jealousy and lord knows I hope Keke aint jealous of that child. No reason at all. To each his own.

As far as what she has done...she's been singing since she was a teen. The right people heard her and like her. People dont have to always have to have commercial approval to be considered as having actually "done" something in order to have their skills respected and properly attended to. Another prime xample as to y music as gone to hell in a sh*t basket. I think the fact that she has the capability to recognize efficiency in a label shows she is greatful. If bragging about your blessings is arrogant than brag on Keke! As long as she knows its just that...a blessing then she will continue to have bragging rights.

The fact of the matter is that most southern people tend to be on the slow side, especially Baby. They gotta bad rep at Cash Money of not doing people right over there and hogging all the dough. In a professional world…if your not use to that slow laid back way of doing things that it is xtremely frustrating. I know. I wish her the best. I will be buying this album as well, to add to my grown woman music collection. Mary’s not coming out w/a album this winter so I am sure Keke will fill my void and the void of other women out there who lack music like hers that they can relate to.

Well folks...its me Nia B! And I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Ke Ke Wyatt.

Let me say a few things.

Ke Ke talks with a serious twang, so it actually threw me off that she called the Cash Money fam COUNTREEE!! She lives in Kentucky for goodness sake...I believe she's originally from Indianapolis though.

Speaking with her was an experience. When she said/asked me if she sings better than Beyonce I told her that they have different styles. When I wanna hear deep/old school sounding Soul I might listen to her versus Bey. And if you want to say who's the better SOUL SINGER that has an old school feel, I might say that it is Ke Ke. But that's not taking anyway from Beyonce. I love her singing and overall everything about her.

In all honesty they aren't in the same league. Its two totally different ball games. You can't compare the two tick for tat. The answer is obvious.

And I agree the weight didn't look bad on her. But image is everything. The new look does her justice.

Ke Ke kept it real....can't take that away from her.

Who shouldn't tell themselves "I'm colder"...even if they are looking at themselves and then looking at Beyonce.

I can think of a few people that I believe are better SINGERS than Beyonce- Ke Ke Wyatt, Kelly Rowland, and a couple more. But Beyonce is an all around PERFORMER, and that's what sets her apart from other artists. Now, we shouldn't be mad at her for being confident in her skills- it's just like one rapper stepping to another, everybody wants to be number 1. I don't think it is so much her hating on Beyonce as it is her throwing her hat in the ring to be a legitimate force to be reckoned with, and that's what she should do. Like Jay says about Wayne- He is hungry and he is doing what is expected of him...he is saying he is the best out here. Why should it be any different with Ke Ke?
