What is this? Just because she knows what NWA stands for Tori is hip-hop? If Tori Amos is hip-hop then Tori Spelling is hip-hop as well. I will give her credit that she listened to Public Enemy, but then again so did my grade school librarian in the 80s.

interesting. i've never quite gotten into Tori's music, but i am definitely very interested right now. i'm gonna peep some. she is definitely an OG though and the longevity speaks volumes. i think she needs to remake something from outkast.

this was a great interview. it works so well. For people to say someone isn't hiphop because of the music they make is kinda ill, especially when you see what they have allowed under the umbrella in the last couple years.
Anytime you are true to yourself agains tthe tide that's hiphop. Unfortunately there are many people who create hiphop music who themselves are not true to its spirit.

I don't know. A lot of white musicians, come in and discover Hip-Hop, do 1 crossover project and they are gone. Just like Phil Collins, Britney Spears, Warren Beatty, Lindsay Lohan, Aerosmith, etc.

Wow this is a big thing. I'm glad she finally decided to talk about her work in covering hip hop. She's a great artist and she definitely takes her music seriously. And I respect what she said about ppl sayin somethin then stickin by it. I'm tired of all these rappers back trackin and sayin "It's just entertainment". If you said it, stick by it. Be real.

Funny thing is I just copped her album for wifey today. Also I've been trying to explain to her how hip-hop embodies all music, makes it its own and thats how I am so open to other types of music. Now you know I'm gonna peep American Doll Posse and be keep that open mind wide open.
