Sometimes I wish brandy had a variety of production on her album because based on her albums in the past many track had a similar sound to it. With time it has improved and I feel that no matter what she will be seen as distinguished in the industry because of her appearance, her history, and her vocals but production means alot and there's so much of her that seems to be untapped. Hit up Kanye again!

Never Say Never was a classic, hands down. Shouts to Brandy...drop that new album, but don't spit on it. She's right...now would not be the time to start spittin cause the rap game is over flooded. Just bring back that feel good RNB.

Hey Kat Eye...you said that she was going to talk about Ray J in part two. She did, but you had me thinking she was gonna at least knock his so-called gangsta persona. Guess I'm glad she didn't...fam should stick together.

Man you can tell that hunger and excitement is back for her. You hear it in her comments and answers to the questions. I think Brandy's vocal production and arrangment on her records are some of the illest I've EVER heard. She has such a destinctive sound.

As far as the other comments on her production. I kinda have to disagree with you guys. I think her and Rodney are a GREAT fit together. I think he brings out the best in her while working together and she does the same for him. He gives her some of the illest production that he won't give to anybody else. In my opinion, that's because he realizes that nobody can perform on a Rodney Jerkins track like Brandy can. It's like nobody can perform over a Dr.Dre track like Snoop can. There's mad people that do well at it but Snoop always gives Dre's tracks the swagger it needs. It's like they're organically connected when it comes to the music. When both the track and the artist are played together, it has a sound that's destinctive, melodic, and original. So I think she does well sticking with Rodney with her music. But I must agree with you guys when it comes to him doing her entire album. I like her with Rodney but not for the entire album. Maybe a good portion of it, but not the whole thing. She did well working with Kanye. I REALLY like what she did with Timbaland. To me her vocal tone fits Timbaland's sound better tho. I'll even go as far as saying that she should sign with Timbaland. I think she would bring out a better sound for him as well. I don't think he should produce every record on her albums if she were to sign with him, but an album heavily produced by Timbaland wouldn't be bad at all. But again, that's just me. All of this is just MY opinion. I'm just glad she's back. I love that girl's voice.

On a side note, is it me or does Dawn from Danity Kane sound almost JUST like Brandy vocally???

Great article, I love the two part series! I think Brandy is great at what she does and I'm so happy to see that she's back. You can definitely tell is happy as well, she has a glow!!! I can't wait to hear the album!

On Afrodisiac she actually let TImbaland produce the whole album but it didn't get the pub that Never Say Never got so people think that it tanked but that shit is a classic album. In fact I think it is the best album she had and then Never Say Never but real singers that don't have to dance and do all that shit never get the real credit they deserve and its cause people push R&B into the pop shit that runs the radio these days. People need to quit with the bullshit and get back to the real hardcore R&B baby making shit.
