Amerie is a good artist, and that Ultramagnetic joint of hers is definitely a banger; and that is why Matthew Knowles needs to be sent to Siberia. NY radio premiered the song a while back--maybe a month or so ago, and just about ONE or TWO WEEKS afterward, the song was hardly heard on the radio. what type of ish is that? i'm tired of Knowles sabotaging the careers of women artists to clear the lane for his overrated daughter. Amerie has put out excellent material over the years, with the same result. it'll get a push, then she becomes an afterthought. NY radio djs and PDs need to grow a set and promote good artists.

when I 1st heard "why don't we fall in love" I was hook.a vicious short song,then "talkin to me" had me envisioning her as the 21st century mary j blige from the "what's the 411?" era [minus all the pain,cryin & hurt]..when her & rich harrison stop working together,I think that left her lost.I heard kelly rowland's "can't nobody",her 1st single off her 1st solo cd,& I knew that was amerie's shit..then beyonce comes with the go go inspired "crazy in love"..it's like they took her sound..

I hope she succeeds,she's always put out nice songs..mufuckaz @ her label have been bitches..and yes,I'd hit too..but more than that,I'd want to see her reunite [musically] with rich harrison & get back where she should be..much respect.

I agree with you on this dude. I have those Amerie mixtapes, where she address how certain R&B chicks r biting her style. I was like "yeah true, Beyonce's Green Light does sound like Amerie's 1 Thing and Amerie was the first R&B chick to do a song like that. Beyonce was even trying to sing like her on a track."

Amerie is a great artist, that's why Knowles fears her.

I admire the fact that she's always stayed in her lane & has never gotten caught up on following a trend. I actually got my hands on 2007's Because I Love It and I was a bit disappointed. The songs were lackluster & the style of beats were uninspiring. I'm looking for her to come back with a vengeance and really shine! She has always had the talent she needs the right cast around. Maybe Def Jam might just be that cast. Off the strength of the 1st single I'm feeling it..

Amerie is one of my favorite artists for real. I love the fact that doesn't follow the typical R&B blueprint by recycling the same producers and song writers such as Ne-Yo, Star Gate and B. Cox and she takes the time to make her lyrics mean something even if it's an uptempo song. I love all her albums, but I have a feeling this new one may top the other 3 albums. I heard a leaked song under the title "Why R U" on You Tube and it is CRAZY. I resisted downloading it. I see Def Jam pushed her album back already for Mariah's new project I really hope Def Jam promotes her like they should, because she's been through enough neglect at Columbia. She had lots of single worthy songs from her past albums that could have been released and had been hits for her. If they can promote Rihanna so heavily even when she was just on her 2nd album, surely they do the same for Amerie.

@ghostof Tim Dog: Ain't that the truth, and noticed he didn't deny sabotaging LeToya at the BET awards and that man releases a statement about everything. But don't worry his bull will come to an end eventually "what goes up must come down" and "every dog has its day" as they say.

with amerie the singing does not matter she can sing like a horse on speed, there is TRULY A GREAT TALENT WITH THE WAY SHE CREATES her songs.

UNLIKE beyonce, or RIHANNA she makes music that actually sounds like, or has a sense that it comes from a woman's perspective or experience, which is lacking in the industry
to many female artist allow men to control absolutely everything a female artist does, say, and look like, and AMERIE gives us a more rounder view from a woman's life, a real view that i believe even men can relate to......so if i have an, amerie album in my collection a man has a sense of my mentality,which in my eyes makes amerie one of our greatest undiscovered talents
losing you, from her 2007 album is a great song......but i feel the album was ignored and so was she because there was a lot more that could have been done to her sound.....i got it...but it could have been better!
There are not many female artist where i can, on a blog say the same thing about them, they are all just about how good they look on their album cover and that is all the input they can put into their career or have to offer, its fake or empty or lacks luster,or genuine emotion

I dig Amerie's Music, I saw her live when she first came out with Fall in Love she couldn't sing that well live but she's gotten better. And fuck Beyonce and the Knowles for what they do to other women, they always tear down Latoya Luckett every chance they get, i wouldn't be suprised if they try shit on Kelly either.
