You'd be surprised how many memories are undissociable from Mike!

Seeing "The King is dead" all over the newspaper brings tears to my eyes. You can really feel that a tiny part of you just died!

One of the few who never passed judgment on this as most of the media and other people have. I remember him for the music. The only artist I can think of who had mini movies for videos when I was little. The best to grace the stage and no one can deny it.

i think a piece of our childhood died yesterday. Michael is going down as the best artist ever. i honestly cant think of anyone big as or bigger than him. he touched so many lives and i am grateful to experience his contribution to music. he rode this till the wheels fell off. the hardest working artist ever. god bless you Mike, there will never be another you. no one can duplicate you. you where in a league of your own. Damn.....at first it didn't hit me, but now just seeing all his videos and just realizing that he isn't here anymore......it just feels like a part of me died along with him. I'm a 90s kid but still grew up on Michael Jackson. I never had any of his albums but whenever he would be on TV or a marathon of his videos were on, I would tune in, and I would like to say that The Jacksons: An American Dream is one of my all time favorite mini-series ever. @ Wageworksboy, i think most people didn't like where he went in these later years, but the fact is he has been a music icon for decades, and most people, despite their current interests in music, grew up with his songs and music at the top of the charts.

It's weird, i never thot anything about how his passing would affect people, but it really does feel like a little of the magic died with him.

I don't usually get emotional when people I didn't personally know die, but I almost dropped a tear when they played "Human Nature" on the radio at the part when he was saying "why, why."

I'm just glad he don't gotta deal with the bullshit people in America was giving him anymore. Everywhere in the world they loved an appreciated this man except for in his own country. Sad. I wouldn't even blame his family if they didn't have the funeral in America.

The world will never be the same again. Truly. Michael Jackson was a icon in life itself. This is a loss on a global scale. They are people in remote parts of the world who have no even heard a radio, but know who Michael Jackson is and the words to his songs. Personally, he is my favorite artist ever and was the first artist I ever loved musically. I have countless memories attached to his music and will NEVER forget them or the joy his music brought to my household and my life. We will truly miss you Michael. Words cant truly explain how I feel. This is like some cruel joke. My mom got me my 1st album in 1979. It was The Jacksons 'Destiny'. I remember staring at the cover. I played that album till she couldnt take it! She brought it for me because I loved the scarecrow in The Wiz so much. I didnt realize that I was watching a legacy being created. Alot of people can go as far back as The Jackson 5 days, nut this was where it started for me.

Ive gotten older and moved on in life, but I truly feel like a piece of my childhood was just ripped from me.

This is devastating for real! I cannot believe Michael Jackson is gone. I have been depressed as hell since the news of his passing. I believe we took for granted he would always be here.
