"My Life" is an all-time classic..nothing can ever top that...but, I thought "The Breakthrough" was a good current MJB effort.. However, this new album "Growing Pains" may continue to be an evolution of an artist who is growing..I luv MJB,but she cannot stay in one mode.."What's the 411?" and "MyLife" are still the highlights of an era gone by..It cannot be repeated!..Keep the soul coming MJB!

What Mary has done a evolve into a grown ass woman with her music. She is no longer (Hopefully) living a dangerous lifestyle and choses to mirror that in her music. To bash her music because it does not relate to a horrible/street life is down right irresponsible. It seesm that all her listeners are not growing up as she is...... And to put Amy Winehouse in the same convo as Mary is Blasfemy...... Some of these reviews on this site are pure garbage.

The album is hot! You've got to have a real appreciation for the growth that Mary has gone through over the years and how her music clearly has grown with her. Bangers are of course Just Fine and Work That, but I love Till the Morning, Grown Woman, and Come to Me (Peace). I'm a die hard Mary J fan and always will be! Keep doing your thing MJB...you the best!!!

I always thought mary was dope b/c she brings good music but she never thought she had to go slut to move units. she has longevity that most female singers can't match, sure janet has been around for 20 years and all but her hits aren't consistent as mary's (atleast i dont think so) and she hasn't grown in her music like MJB has...
